1. Product Overview

The RUIZU C1 is a versatile HiFi Music MP3 Player designed for high-quality audio playback and a range of multimedia functions. Featuring a full touch screen and a durable metal body, it offers a seamless user experience for music, video, e-book reading, recording, and more.

2. Getting Started

2.1 Package Contents

Please check the package for the following items:

  • RUIZU C1 MP3 Player
  • USB Charging Cable
  • User Manual (this document)
  • (Optional: Wired headphones, depending on package)

2.2 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the USB2.0 port on the RUIZU C1.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The device will indicate charging status on the screen. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

The device is powered by a 420mAh Lithium Battery, offering 10-20 hours of battery life depending on usage.

2.3 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side) until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off option appears on the screen, then confirm. Alternatively, a long press may directly power off the device.

2.4 Inserting a TF Card (External Memory)

The RUIZU C1 supports TF card expansion up to 128GB for additional storage.

  1. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the device.
  2. Gently insert the TF card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is oriented correctly.
  3. To remove, gently push the TF card inward until it springs out.

3. Operating Instructions

The RUIZU C1 features full touch operation for easy navigation through its menus and functions.

3.1 Music Playback

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'Music' icon.
  2. Browse your music library by artist, album, genre, or folders.
  3. Tap a song to begin playback.
  4. Use the on-screen controls for play/pause, skip tracks, volume adjustment, and AB repeat.

Supported Audio Formats: MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, WAV, DRM, ACELP.

3.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

The RUIZU C1 supports Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting to wireless headphones or Bluetooth speakers.

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'Settings' icon.
  2. Navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select your Bluetooth headphones or speaker from the list to pair.

Important Note: The Bluetooth function of the RUIZU C1 MP3 player cannot pair with computers or mobile phones. Additionally, Bluetooth does not support video playback or FM Radio functionality.

3.3 Video Playback

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'Video' icon.
  2. Browse and select a video file to play.

Supported Video Formats: AMV, AVI.

3.4 E-Book Reading

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'E-book' icon.
  2. Select an e-book file to open and read.

3.5 Voice Recording

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'Record' icon.
  2. Tap the record button to start and stop recording.
  3. Recordings are saved in the device's memory.

Recording Range: Approximately 3 meters in a straight line.

3.6 FM Radio

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'Radio' icon.
  2. Use the on-screen controls to scan for stations and adjust frequency.

Important Note: The Bluetooth function does not support FM Radio.

3.7 Dictionary Function

The device includes an English-Chinese dictionary for quick translations.

  1. From the main menu, tap the 'Dictionary' icon.
  2. Enter words to look up their definitions.

3.8 Other Functions

The RUIZU C1 also includes several utility applications:

  • Pedometer: Track your daily steps.
  • Photo Viewer: View JPG/BMP format images.
  • World Clock: Keep track of time zones.
  • Calendar: View dates and schedule events.
  • Alarm: Set alarms.
  • Calculator: Perform basic calculations.

4. Maintenance and Care

4.1 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the device's screen and body.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or aerosol sprays, which may damage the surface.

4.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), as this can degrade battery performance.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and store it in a cool, dry place.

4.3 Storage

  • Store the device in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep the device away from strong magnetic fields.

5. Troubleshooting

Device does not power on:
Ensure the device is sufficiently charged. Connect it to a power source and try again after a few minutes. If it still doesn't turn on, try a hard reset by holding the power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds).
Cannot connect via Bluetooth:
Verify that the device you are trying to connect to (headphones/speaker) is in pairing mode. Remember, the RUIZU C1's Bluetooth cannot pair with computers or mobile phones. Also, Bluetooth does not support video playback or FM Radio.
No sound from speaker/headphones:
Check the volume level. Ensure headphones are properly plugged into the 3.5mm jack. If using Bluetooth, ensure it's correctly paired and connected.
TF card not recognized:
Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly and fully seated in the slot. Try reinserting the card. Check if the card is formatted correctly (FAT32 is generally recommended). The device supports up to 128GB TF cards.
Files not playing:
Check if the file format is supported (e.g., MP3/WMA/APE/FLAC/WAV/DRM/ACELP for audio, AMV/AVI for video, JPG/BMP for pictures). Ensure the file is not corrupted.

7. User Tips

  • Bluetooth Usage: Remember that the Bluetooth feature is primarily for connecting to audio output devices like headphones and speakers. It is not designed to connect to smartphones or computers for data transfer or control.
  • FM Radio and Video with Bluetooth: If you plan to use the FM Radio or watch videos, you will need to use wired headphones or the built-in speaker, as Bluetooth does not support these functions on this device.
  • Memory Management: While the device has built-in memory, consider using a TF card for extensive media libraries, especially for videos and a large number of songs, to avoid running out of space.
  • File Compatibility: Always ensure your media files are in the supported formats (e.g., MP3 for audio, AMV/AVI for video) to guarantee smooth playback.
