3. Installation Guide

3.1 Pre-Installation Check

Before proceeding with installation, ensure your vehicle's original radio matches one of the compatible types (Type A or Type B) shown in Figure 1. If you are unsure, please contact customer service for assistance.

3.2 General Installation

The Junsun radio's power cable is designed for direct connection to the car's power interface (pin-to-pin), simplifying installation. Professional installation is recommended.

3.3 Rear View Camera Connection (Optional)

To connect an optional rear view camera, follow these steps:

1. Connect the red cable (② in Figure 5) to the backup light's positive (+) terminal.
2. Connect the black cable (① in Figure 5) to the vehicle's ground (GND).
3. Connect the reversing detection cable (brown color, ④ in Figure 5) to the red cable (③ in Figure 5) which extends from the video input cable.

3.4 Steering Wheel Control Setup

The setup for steering wheel controls depends on whether your product includes a Canbus module:

• Without Canbus (V1/V1.C/V1 Pro/V1 Pro.C): Go to Car Settings > General > SWC Type > Learning Type to configure.
• Without Canbus (V1 Plus): Go to Settings > Car information > SWC > Learning Type to configure.
• With Canbus: Ensure the 8-pin interface of the Canbus cable is connected. Then, select the correct Canbus type in the settings. If you don't know the Canbus model, contact customer service.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 User Interface (UI 4.0)

The Junsun UI 4.0 features a professional design for safe driving. It includes day and night modes that automatically adjust screen brightness based on your car's headlights. Common functions like navigation, music, and Bluetooth calls are integrated into the desktop for one-click access. Icons are customizable for personalized arrangement.

4.2 Navigation

The system comes with built-in offline maps and supports online map services. Free map updates are provided to ensure you always have the latest navigation data.

4.3 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The Junsun radio supports Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto (V1 C/V1 Pro C/V1 Plus versions). This allows you to access smartphone functions like navigation, music, calls, and messaging directly on the head unit.

Connecting Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto:

1. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and pair it with the car's Bluetooth.
2. Once paired, the car radio will automatically switch to the Zlink or AutoLink interface.
3. Your phone will prompt you to "use carplay with Zlink or AutoLink".
4. Turn on your mobile phone's Wi-Fi, and CarPlay/Android Auto will connect.

Connecting Wired CarPlay/Android Auto:

Use your original data cable to connect your phone to the 4-pin USB cable. Then, activate the CarPlay/Android Auto function on your phone and tap the "AutoLink" or "ZLINK5" icon on the device to establish the connection.

4.4 DSP Sound Adjustment

The Digital Sound Processor (DSP) optimizes audio quality and adapts to various environments. You can fine-tune audio parameters for an optimal sound experience tailored to your car and speaker setup.

• Equalizer: Adjust frequency bands (32Hz to 3KHz) with presets like Flat, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, or a custom User setting.
• Sound Field: Adjust the sound focus within the car cabin.
• Bass Filter: Control low-frequency output.
• Delay, Balance, Sub Out, Filter: Further fine-tune sound characteristics.

4.5 Online Radio

The online radio feature relies on an internet connection to search and stream multiple channels, covering stations from over 20 countries. This provides a wide range of listening options even when you are far from local broadcast areas.

4.6 AI Voice Control

Control your radio using voice commands to improve driving safety. Activate the voice assistant with a wake-up word (e.g., "Hey Top") and issue commands for navigation, music playback, calls, and more.

4.9 Reversing Screen Function (Optional)

4.10 Button Color Adjustment

• Software Updates: Junsun provides free updates for Firmware, Software, UI, and Navigation maps. Regularly check for and install these updates to benefit from new features and improvements.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Temperature: Operate the device within recommended temperature ranges. The built-in cooling fan helps manage internal temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Steering Wheel Control Not Working

6.2 CarPlay/Android Auto Connection Issues

6.3 Boot Logo Customization

Due to copyright issues, the boot logo cannot be displayed by default. If you need to modify the logo, please contact Junsun customer service for specific instructions.

6.4 General Connectivity (WiFi vs. 4G)

The device offers navigation, music playback, and parking assistance. For internet connectivity, the WiFi version requires your smartphone to act as a modem. If you frequently use internet-dependent features while driving, consider a 4G-enabled version to avoid draining your phone's battery.

6.5 Rear View Camera Not Displaying

Check all connections as described in Section 3.3 "Rear View Camera Connection". Ensure the red cable is connected to the backup light, the black cable to ground, and the brown reversing detection cable is correctly linked to the video input cable.

8. User Tips
