Working Principle

The DWIN Smart TFT Display with its integrated CPU communicates with an external Microcontroller Unit (MCU) via UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter) instructions. The MCU then controls various equipment based on the commands received from the display module.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

No Display/Power:
  • Ensure the power supply is connected correctly and provides the specified voltage (7.0V to 15.0V, typical 12.0V).
  • Check all cable connections, especially the 8Pin_2.0mm User Interface socket, for secure fit.
  • Verify that the backlight is not set to minimum brightness or turned off in the settings.
Touch Screen Unresponsive (Resistive Touch Models):
  • Ensure the TP interface cable is securely connected.
  • Calibrate the touch screen if the application supports it.
  • Verify that the correct firmware for the resistive touch version (DMG80480Y070_02NR) is loaded.
Communication Issues (UART):
