1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before installation and operation. Improper installation or use can lead to damage to the device, vehicle, or personal injury. Always prioritize safety while driving. Do not operate the device in a way that distracts you from the road.

Warning: If your car has a sound amplifier (Rockford) or an original car rear camera, and the power cable configured by the seller is not compatible with your car, please do not purchase this product. Compatibility issues may arise.

The Junsun Car Radio is an intelligent multimedia system designed to enhance your driving experience. It offers advanced features such as wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, high-quality DSP sound processing, GPS navigation, and optional 4G connectivity.

4. Installation Guide

Junsun radios' power cable is designed for pin-to-pin connection to the car's power interface, simplifying installation. However, professional installation is recommended.

4.1 Pre-Installation Check

• Verify compatibility with your Mitsubishi ASX 1 (2010-2016).
• Ensure your vehicle does not have a Rockford sound amplifier or an incompatible original rear camera, as this product may not be suitable.
• Disconnect the car battery before starting installation.

4.2 Basic Installation Steps

1. Carefully remove the original car radio unit and dashboard trim.
2. Connect the new Junsun Car Radio to the vehicle's wiring harness using the provided power cable.
3. Install the new frame and secure the Junsun Car Radio into the dashboard.
4. Reconnect the car battery and test the unit.

4.3 Rear View Camera Connection (Optional)

If you are installing an aftermarket rear view camera, follow these wiring instructions:

1. Connect the red cable (②) from the camera to the backup light's positive (+) terminal.
2. Connect the black cable (①) from the camera to the vehicle's ground (GND).
3. Connect the reversing detection cable (④, brown color) to the red cable (③) extending from the video input cable.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 User Interface (UI 4.0)

The Junsun UI 4.0 features a professional design for safe driving. Common functions are integrated into the desktop, allowing for quick access. The radio automatically switches between day and night modes based on car headlights, adjusting screen brightness for optimal visibility.

You can also customize the arrangement of icons on the desktop for personalized access to your favorite applications.

5.2 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The Junsun radio supports Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto (V1 C/V1 Pro C/V1 Plus versions). This allows you to seamlessly integrate your smartphone for navigation, music, calls, and messaging.

Connection Steps:

1. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and pair it with the car's Bluetooth.
2. Once paired, the car radio will automatically jump to the Zlink or AutoLink interface.
3. Your phone will prompt a message to "use carplay with Zlink or AutoLink".
4. Turn on your phone's Wi-Fi, and CarPlay/Android Auto will connect.

For Wired Connection: Use your original data cable to connect your phone to the 4-PIN USB cable. Then, activate the CarPlay/Android Auto function on your phone and select the "AutoLink" or "ZLINK5" icon on the device.

5.3 GPS Navigation

The Junsun car navigation system includes built-in offline maps and supports online maps. Free updates are provided to ensure you always have the latest map data.

5.4 DSP Sound System

The Digital Sound Processor (DSP) optimizes sound quality by allowing fine-tuning of audio parameters such as equalization, bass filtering, and sound folding. This ensures an optimal sound performance tailored to your car and speaker setup.

5.5 Voice Control (Optional)

Control your radio by voice commands to improve driving safety. Activate the voice assistant with a wake-up word and issue commands for music playback, navigation, and more.

5.6 Online Radio

The online radio feature relies on internet connectivity to search and stream multiple channels, covering stations from over 20 countries.

5.7 Steering Wheel Control

The Junsun Car Radio supports steering wheel controls, allowing you to change tracks, adjust volume, and manage other functions directly from your steering wheel for convenience and safety.

Setup Instructions:

• For V1/V1.C/V1 Pro/V1 Pro.C (without Canbus): Refer to Figure 5.10 for settings.
• For V1 Plus (without Canbus): Refer to Figure 5.11 for settings.
• For V1/V1.C/V1 Pro/V1 Pro.C (with Canbus): Refer to Figure 5.12 for settings.
• For V1 Plus (with Canbus): Refer to Figure 5.13 for settings.

5.8 Split Screen Functionality

Enjoy superior multitasking with the split-screen feature. For example, you can have navigation for the driver and video playback for the passenger, or listen to music while using ADAS DVR functions.

5.9 AV-Out Support

Connect your car navigation system to an external display to enjoy a larger screen experience. The AV-Out feature projects the content and functionality of your navigation system onto supported external display devices, providing a clearer and more immersive audio-visual experience.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Powerful Cooling Fan

The radio is equipped with a powerful cooling fan to prevent overheating, which can cause reboots, abnormal touch responses, or other malfunctions during long-term use. This ensures smooth operation even with multiple applications running simultaneously.

For V1 Plus and V2 Plus models, the cooling fan is included. You can manually control the fan switch and set the CPU temperature threshold for automatic activation (e.g., turns on when CPU exceeds 70°C and off when it drops below 70°C).

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Airbag Warning Light

Some users have reported an airbag warning light appearing after installation, particularly in Mitsubishi ASX models from 2012. This issue may arise if the car's original wiring or sensors are affected during installation. If this occurs, it is recommended to consult a professional car electrician or the vehicle manufacturer's service center to diagnose and resolve the issue safely.

7.2 Steering Wheel Control Not Working

If your steering wheel controls are not functioning, first confirm if your product includes a Canbus. Refer to the detailed setup instructions in Section 5.7 based on your specific model and whether it has Canbus support. Incorrect wiring or software configuration can prevent the controls from working.

7.3 Boot Logo Modification

Due to copyright issues, the boot logo may not be displayed by default. If you wish to modify the boot logo, please contact Junsun customer service for specific instructions and methods.

7.4 OBD Application Not Working

If the OBD application is not working, ensure that the OBD2 accessory is correctly connected and paired with the head unit. Verify that the application is installed and updated. If issues persist, check the OBD2 device's compatibility and functionality.

10. User Tips

• Microphone Usage: The radio has a built-in microphone. If you prefer an external microphone, you can connect it via an RCA cable. For WiFi versions, the RCA cable for an external microphone needs to be purchased separately.
• 4G vs. WiFi Version: The WiFi version requires your smartphone to act as a modem for internet access, which can drain your phone's battery. For active internet use while driving, the 4G version is recommended as it has built-in cellular connectivity.
• Original Rear Camera: If your vehicle has an original rear camera, verify its compatibility with the Junsun unit. Some original cameras may require additional adapters or may not be directly compatible.
• UI Update: If you receive UI3.0 and wish to update to UI4.0, contact Junsun online service for assistance.

11. Warranty and Support

Junsun offers a 2-year warranty on all products from the date of receipt confirmation. All products undergo strict quality tests before shipment to ensure high quality. For any product issues within the warranty period, Junsun provides 24H customer service and will replace the new machine directly if necessary. Please contact customer service first to communicate any issues.
