6. Troubleshooting
- System not responding: Check the vehicle's 12V power supply to the main unit. Ensure all wiring connections are secure as per the wiring diagram.
- Remote control not working: Verify that the CR2016 batteries in the remote key are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. If necessary, replace the batteries. If the issue persists, try re-learning the remote code (see Section 3.4).
- Limited remote range: Ensure the antenna is firmly connected to the main unit and is not obstructed by metal objects. Environmental factors can also affect range.
- Compatibility: This is a universal 12V system. However, specific vehicle models (e.g., Daihatsu Terios) may require professional assessment for full compatibility and proper integration.
For complex issues or if you are unsure about any installation or troubleshooting steps, it is strongly recommended to consult a professional car electrician.
7. User Tips
- Professional Installation: Many users find that professional installation is key to avoiding issues, especially with wiring and ensuring all features work correctly.
- Battery Check: Always have spare CR2016 batteries on hand for your remote keys. If a remote stops working, the first step should be to check and replace the batteries.
- Code Learning Issues: If you have trouble programming a remote, ensure you are pressing the learning switch on the main unit correctly and then immediately pressing a button on the remote. Repeat the process if necessary.
