4. Installation Guide

Before installation, ensure your door thickness is between 35-55mm. The lock is designed for both wooden and metal doors. The handle direction is reversible.

4.1 Mortise Installation

First, install the mortise into your door. The lock supports various mortise options. Ensure the square bar hole diameter is 8mm if using your original mortise.

4.2 Lock Panel Installation

1. Connect the cables from the front panel to the rear panel.
2. Insert the square bar through the mortise and into the front panel.
3. Align the front and rear panels with the mortise and secure them using the provided screws.
4. Install 4 AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment on the rear panel.
5. Close the battery cover.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Unlocking Methods

The YRHAND X7 offers multiple convenient ways to unlock your door:

• Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered fingerprint on the reader.
• Passcode Unlock: Enter your registered numerical passcode on the touch keypad.
• IC Card Unlock: Tap your registered IC card on the card sensing area.
• Mechanical Key Unlock: Use the physical key in case of emergency or battery depletion.
• Tuya App Unlock: Remotely unlock the door via the Tuya Smart Life app (requires WiFi gateway).

5.2 Tuya Smart Life App Features

Connect your lock to the Tuya Smart Life app for advanced control and monitoring:

5.3 Safety Features

• Automatic Locking: The lock automatically engages when the door is closed.
• Lift to Lock: Lift the handle to manually lock the door.
• Electronic Anti-lock: In anti-locking mode, only users with administrator rights can open the door, enhancing security.

5.4 Open Mode (Office Use)

For office environments, the lock supports an "Open mode" where you can open the door by pressing the handle directly. To exit this mode, an authorized passcode or fingerprint is required to lock the door.

6. Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: The lock uses 4 AA alkaline batteries. Replace all batteries when the low battery warning is issued.
