Setup and Installation
This section outlines the general steps for replacing LED backlight strips in a compatible TV. Specific disassembly procedures may vary by TV model.
- Prepare the Work Area: Clear a clean, flat, and well-lit surface. Lay a soft cloth or mat to protect the TV screen.
- Disconnect Power: Ensure the TV is completely unplugged from the electrical outlet.
- Disassemble the TV:
- Carefully remove the TV stand (if applicable).
- Remove all screws securing the back cover of the TV.
- Gently pry open the back cover, being mindful of any internal cables connected to it.
- Locate and disconnect any cables connecting the power supply board, main board, and T-con board.
- Access the Panel:
- Remove the metal shielding and any other components covering the LCD panel.
- Carefully detach the ribbon cables connecting the T-con board to the LCD panel.
- With extreme caution, lift and remove the LCD panel. It is highly fragile. Store it safely, screen-side down, on a soft, clean surface.
- Remove the diffuser sheets and light guide plate to expose the old LED backlight strips.
- Remove Old Backlight Strips:
- Disconnect the power connectors from the old LED strips.
- Gently peel off the old LED strips. Note their orientation (L and R) and how they were connected.
- Install New Backlight Strips:
- Ensure the new strips match the old ones in length and LED count.
- The new strips come with pre-applied adhesive tape. Carefully align the T32-30-L and T32-30-R strips in their respective positions.
- Press firmly along the length of the strips to ensure good adhesion.
- Connect the power connectors to the new LED strips.
- Test the Backlight: Before reassembling, temporarily connect the TV to power and turn it on to verify that all new LED strips illuminate correctly. Disconnect power immediately after testing.
- Reassemble the TV:
- Carefully place the light guide plate and diffuser sheets back into position.
- Gently place the LCD panel back into its frame, ensuring proper alignment. Reconnect the ribbon cables to the T-con board.
- Reinstall any metal shielding and other components.
- Reconnect all internal cables.
- Replace the back cover and secure it with all screws.
- Reattach the TV stand.

Operating Instructions
Once the LED backlight strips are successfully installed and the TV is reassembled, plug the TV back into the power outlet. The TV should now power on and display an image with proper backlighting. No special operating procedures are required for the backlight strips themselves, as they are controlled by the TV's internal power supply and main board.
- If the TV does not power on or the backlight does not illuminate, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
- Adjust TV brightness settings as desired through the TV's on-screen menu.
Maintenance
LED backlight strips are generally maintenance-free. If a strip or individual LEDs fail, the entire strip typically needs to be replaced. Regular cleaning of the TV's exterior is recommended, but internal components, including the backlight, do not require routine maintenance.
- Avoid exposing the TV to extreme temperatures or humidity, which can shorten the lifespan of electronic components.
- Do not attempt to repair individual LEDs on the strip; replace the entire strip if faulty.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues after installing the LED backlight strips, consider the following:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No backlight / Screen is dark but has sound |
|
|
| Uneven brightness or dark spots |
|
|
| TV does not power on at all |
|
|
If problems persist, consult a qualified technician.
