5. Installation Guide
Careful installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to have this system installed by a professional.
5.1. Sensor Installation

Figure 3: Parking sensor dimensions and the included 22mm hole saw drill.

Figure 4: Recommended mounting positions for sensors on the rear bumper and routing of cables to the main control box.
- Choose Mounting Location: Select appropriate positions on your vehicle's rear bumper for the four sensors. Ensure they are evenly spaced and at a consistent height.
- Drill Holes: Use the provided 22mm hole saw drill to create holes in the bumper at the chosen locations.
- Insert Sensors: Carefully insert the sensors into the drilled holes. Ensure they are flush with the bumper surface and facing directly backward.
- Route Cables: Route the sensor cables through the bumper and into the vehicle's interior to the location of the main control box.
5.2. Wiring Diagram

Figure 5: Detailed wiring connections for the control box, sensors, speaker, camera, and monitor.
- Connect Sensors: Plug each of the four sensor cables into the corresponding ports (A, B, C, D) on the main control box.
- Connect Speaker: Plug the speaker (buzzer) cable into the 'SPK' port on the control box.
- Connect Power: Connect the red wire of the power cable to the DC 12V+ (reverse light positive) and the black wire to GND- (ground). This ensures the system activates when the vehicle is put into reverse.
- Connect Camera (Optional): If using a rearview camera, connect its video output to the 'To Camera' input on the system's video cable.
- Connect Monitor: Connect the 'To Monitor' output of the system's video cable to the video input of your TFT-LCD screen or compatible display.
5.3. Monitor Compatibility
The system is compatible with various in-car display units, including dedicated monitors, car multimedia systems, and rearview mirror monitors.

6. Operating Instructions
Once properly installed, the parking system operates automatically when your vehicle is in reverse gear.
- Activation: Shift your vehicle into reverse gear. The parking system will automatically power on.
- Visual Display: The connected monitor will display the rearview camera feed (if connected) along with an overlay showing the distance to obstacles detected by the sensors.
- Audible Alert: As you approach an obstacle, the buzzer will emit a step-up alarm. The frequency of the beeps will increase as the distance to the obstacle decreases.
- Adjustable Sound: The speaker features a switch to adjust the volume (Off, Lo, Hi) according to your preference.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the sensors and camera lens clean from dirt, snow, or ice to ensure accurate detection. Use a soft cloth and mild cleaning solution.
- Temperature: The system is designed to operate within a temperature range of -30°C to +60°C. Extreme temperatures outside this range may affect performance.
- Water Resistance: The system features a multilayer waterproof design, allowing it to withstand high-pressure washing and immersion. However, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the sensor connections for extended periods.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display/No power | Incorrect power connection; Blown fuse; Faulty monitor. | Check power cable connections (DC 12V+ and GND-). Verify vehicle's reverse light circuit. Test monitor with another video source. |
| No image on monitor | Video cable disconnected; Faulty camera; Incorrect monitor input. | Ensure video cable is securely connected from the system to the monitor. Check camera functionality. Select correct video input on monitor. |
| No sound from buzzer | Buzzer cable disconnected; Volume set to 'Off'; Faulty buzzer. | Check buzzer cable connection to 'SPK' port. Ensure volume switch is not set to 'Off'. |
| Inaccurate detection/False alarms | Dirty sensors; Improper sensor angle; Interference. | Clean sensors thoroughly. Ensure sensors are installed flush and facing straight back. Avoid installing near exhaust or other heat sources. |
9. User Tips
- Test Before Finalizing: Before securing all wiring and panels, perform a full system test by putting the vehicle in reverse and checking the display and buzzer functionality.
- Adjust Buzzer Volume: Find a comfortable buzzer volume setting using the switch on the speaker. Too loud can be distracting, too quiet can be ineffective.
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the sensors, especially after driving in dirty or snowy conditions, to maintain optimal performance.
