6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
When the keyboard or mouse stops responding or the indicator light flashes, it's time to replace the batteries. Refer to section 4.1 for battery installation instructions. Always use new AA alkaline batteries for optimal performance and battery life.
6.2. Cleaning
- Keyboard: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the keys or internal components.
- Mouse: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse body. Use a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol to clean the optical sensor area if tracking issues occur.
6.3. Spill-resistant Design
The keyboard features a spill-resistant design, offering protection against accidental liquid splashes. In case of a spill:
- Immediately disconnect the keyboard from your device (if wired) or turn it off.
- Wipe off any liquid from the surface with a clean, dry cloth.
- Allow the keyboard to air dry completely before using it again.
While spill-resistant, it is not waterproof. Avoid submerging the keyboard in liquid.

7. Troubleshooting
- No connection / Device not recognized:
- Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- For 2.4G wireless, ensure the USB Nano Receiver is securely plugged into a working USB-A port.
- For Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard/mouse are in pairing mode or correctly paired to the selected channel. Try re-pairing if issues persist.
- Move the keyboard/mouse closer to the receiver or Bluetooth device.
- Lagging or intermittent connection:
- Ensure there are no other strong wireless interference sources nearby (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless devices).
- Try plugging the USB Nano Receiver into a different USB port, preferably a direct port on the computer rather than a hub.
- Mouse cursor not moving or tracking poorly:
- Check the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse for any obstructions or dirt. Clean gently with a cotton swab.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface. Highly reflective or transparent surfaces may cause tracking issues.
- Adjust the DPI setting to see if it resolves the issue.
- Keyboard keys not responding:
- Check battery level and replace if low.
- Ensure the keyboard is connected to the correct device/channel.
8. User Tips
- USB Receiver Type: The USB receiver provided is a standard USB-A Nano receiver. It connects to a traditional USB port on your computer.
- Keyboard Layout: This manual describes the features of the Rapoo 8210M with a Russian keyboard layout, as depicted in the product images. Other language layouts (e.g., English, French, Brazilian ABNT2) may be available from the seller, but key markings will differ.
- Backlight: The Rapoo 8210M keyboard does not feature a backlight.
- Battery Life Optimization: To maximize battery life, remember to turn off the keyboard and mouse using their power switches when not in use for extended periods.
