5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the CR2032 battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Refer to the 'Battery Installation' section for detailed steps.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage and store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Protective Cover: Always keep the yellow rubber protective cover on the device when not in use to prevent damage from drops or impacts.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not power on:
    • Check if the battery is installed correctly with the correct polarity.
    • Replace the CR2032 battery with a new one.
  • Inaccurate readings:
    • Ensure the fan is unobstructed and clean.
    • Verify that the device is held steadily and directly into the airflow for accurate wind speed readings.
    • Allow the device to acclimate to the ambient temperature for a few minutes before taking temperature readings.
  • Display is dim or flickering:
    • This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the CR2032 battery.
  • Device shuts off unexpectedly:
    • The device has an auto-off feature after 14 minutes of inactivity. If it shuts off during active use, check the battery level.
