Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installation and operation. Improper installation or use can lead to electric shock, fire, or damage to the device and connected equipment.

  • Professional Installation Recommended: Electrical wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.
  • Power Disconnection: Always disconnect power at the main circuit breaker before installing or servicing the timer switch.
  • Voltage Compatibility: Ensure the power supply voltage (85-265VAC) matches the device's specifications.
  • Load Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 16A (for TM920AKL) or 30A (for TM920BKL) to prevent overheating and damage.
  • Environment: Install in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and corrosive gases.

Installation and Wiring

The TM920AKL timer switch is designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting. Follow the wiring diagrams carefully.

DIN Rail Mounting

Align the timer switch with a standard 35mm DIN rail and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.

Wiring Diagram (TM920AKL - 16A)

For direct control of a load (e.g., a light bulb) up to 16A, connect as shown in Figure 4. Ensure the Live (L) and Neutral (N) inputs are correctly identified and connected to terminals 1 and 2 respectively. The load should be connected between terminal 3 (Normally Open, NO) and the Neutral line. Terminal 4 (Normally Closed, NC) can be used for applications requiring a normally closed contact.

Wiring Diagram (TM920BKL - 30A)

For the TM920BKL model (30A), direct load connection is similar to the TM920AKL, but it can handle higher current. For loads exceeding the timer's direct capacity or for inductive loads, it is recommended to use an external contactor as shown in Figure 5.
