5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Attaching a Bike Computer

The mount comes with two pedestals for different bike computer types. Select the appropriate pedestal for your device (e.g., Garmin, iGPSPORT, Bryton). Align your bike computer with the chosen pedestal on the mount and twist it clockwise until it locks securely into place.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the aluminum alloy finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight. If any part appears loose, re-tighten it using the appropriate Allen wrench.
  • Storage: If removing the mount for extended periods, store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Mount feels loose on handlebar: Ensure the handlebar clamp screws are sufficiently tightened. If still loose, check if the rubber gasket is correctly positioned or if a thicker gasket is needed for smaller handlebar diameters (though this mount is designed for 31.8mm).
  • Device (computer, camera, light) feels loose on holder: Ensure the device is properly aligned and twisted into its respective pedestal or holder until it clicks or feels secure. Check for any debris preventing a flush fit.
  • Mount is rattling: Verify all components are securely fastened. Check the main handlebar clamp and any accessory holders for tightness.

8. User Tips

  • Before each ride, quickly check that your bike computer, action camera, or headlight is securely attached to the mount.
  • Position the mount to ensure your bike computer is easily visible without obstructing your view of the road.
  • When attaching accessories like a GoPro or headlight, ensure they do not interfere with your bike's cables or other components.
  • The L-shaped design is intended to optimize viewing and reduce wind resistance; experiment with its angle to find your preferred setup.
