1. Introduction

The Eyoyo PDT6000 is a versatile handheld device designed to streamline barcode data acquisition. It functions as a wireless barcode scanner, a data collector, and an inventory counter. Featuring a 2.2-inch color TFT screen, it allows users to view barcode content, type, number, and length directly on the device. Its plug-and-play design with a USB receiver ensures easy connectivity and extended wireless transmission capabilities, coupled with strong 1D barcode decoding ability, making it ideal for retail, warehouse, and supermarket environments.

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Battery Installation

The Eyoyo PDT6000 operates on two AA batteries. Ensure they are inserted correctly according to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. The device supports rechargeable AA batteries.

3.2. Connecting to a Computer

The scanner is designed for plug-and-play operation, requiring no driver installation. Simply follow these steps:

Insert the provided USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
The computer will automatically recognize the device.
The scanner is compatible with Windows (XP/7/8/10), Mac OS, and Linux operating systems.

Note: This device cannot connect with mobile phones or tablets.

4. Operating Modes

The Eyoyo PDT6000 offers three distinct operating modes to suit different data acquisition needs:

Wireless Mode (Scan-Gun): In this mode, scanned 1D barcode data is instantly uploaded to your connected device. This is suitable for real-time data entry.
Collect Mode: This mode allows you to scan barcodes and store them temporarily. You can check the number, length, and count of barcodes on the screen before exporting the collected data to your device.
Inventory Mode: Designed for inventory management, this mode enables you to check the number, length, and quantity of items. After scanning, you can export the inventory data to your device for further processing.

5. Pairing Modes

The scanner supports two pairing configurations:

One Scanner to One Receiver: In this standard setup, the barcode data from a single scanner is transmitted to one receiving device (your computer).
Multiple Scanners to One Receiver: For larger operations, multiple Eyoyo PDT6000 scanners (up to 250) can transmit barcode data to a single USB receiver connected to one computer. This allows for efficient data collection from several points simultaneously.

8. Troubleshooting

Scanner not connecting to PC: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Verify that the scanner has fresh batteries and is powered on.
No data transmitted after scanning: Check if the scanner is in the correct operating mode (e.g., Wireless Mode for instant upload). Ensure the scanner is within the transmission range of the USB receiver.
Unable to scan certain barcodes: The PDT6000 is a 1D barcode scanner. It cannot scan 2D barcodes (like QR codes). Ensure the barcode is a supported 1D format and is not excessively damaged or poorly printed.
Device not turning on: Replace the AA batteries with new ones or fully charged rechargeable batteries.
Screen display issues: Check battery level. If issues persist, try restarting the device.

9. User Tips

For optimal wireless performance, try to maintain a clear line of sight between the scanner and the USB receiver, especially in environments with many obstacles.
When using Collect or Inventory modes, remember to export your data regularly to prevent loss and manage storage effectively.
Utilize the customization options for prefixes and suffixes to integrate scanned data seamlessly into your existing systems or spreadsheets.

10. Maintenance

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. For the scanning window, use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Battery Care: If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the AA batteries to prevent leakage.
Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Drop Protection: While the device has a 1.2m drop test rating, avoid unnecessary drops to prolong its lifespan.
