5. Setup and Assembly

  1. Clean and Sterilize: Before first use and after each subsequent use, disassemble all parts that come into contact with breast milk (breast shields, bottles, valves, diaphragms, tubing) and clean them thoroughly. Sterilize by boiling in water or using a steam sterilizer. The motor unit should NOT be washed or sterilized.
  2. Assemble Breast Shield Kit: Attach the valve to the bottom of the breast shield. Place the diaphragm onto the top of the breast shield.
  3. Attach Bottle: Screw the collection bottle onto the bottom of the breast shield assembly.
  4. Connect Tubing: Connect one end of the tubing to the breast shield assembly and the other end to the motor unit. For double pumping, repeat steps 2-3 for the second breast shield kit and connect both tubes to the motor unit.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the charging cable to the motor unit and a suitable USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, laptop).

Image: Visual representation of Massage Mode (gentle stimulation) and Expression Mode (stronger suction for milk extraction).

  • Massage Mode: Simulates a baby's natural suckling to stimulate milk let-down. Use this mode at the beginning of each pumping session for 2-5 minutes.
  • Expression Mode: Provides a stronger, rhythmic suction to efficiently express milk. Switch to this mode after let-down occurs.

6.3 Pumping Procedure

  1. Positioning: Center your nipple in the breast shield tunnel. Ensure a comfortable and secure seal around your breast.
  2. Power On: Press the Power ON/OFF button. The pump will start in Massage Mode.
  3. Massage Phase: Begin with Massage Mode for 2-5 minutes to stimulate milk flow. Adjust the suction level using the (+) and (-) buttons to a comfortable setting.
  4. Expression Phase: Once milk let-down begins, press the Mode Toggle button to switch to Expression Mode. Adjust the suction level to your comfort.
  5. Duration: Pump for approximately 15-20 minutes per breast, or until milk flow significantly slows. The pump has a fixed operating time of 30 minutes before automatically shutting off.
  6. Power Off: Press the Power ON/OFF button to turn off the pump.
  7. Disassemble: Carefully remove the breast shields and bottles.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for hygiene and longevity of your breast pump.

7.1 Daily Cleaning

  1. Disassemble: Immediately after each use, disassemble all parts that come into contact with breast milk (breast shields, bottles, valves, diaphragms, tubing).
  2. Rinse: Rinse all disassembled parts under cool running water to remove any residual milk.
  3. Wash: Wash parts in warm, soapy water using a dedicated brush.
  4. Rinse Again: Rinse thoroughly under clean running water.
  5. Air Dry: Place parts on a clean paper towel or drying rack and allow them to air dry completely. Do not use a cloth towel as it may leave lint.
