5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions

General Sharpening Steps:

1. Power On: Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The sharpener will begin operating.
2. Insert Knife: Hold the knife handle firmly. Insert the heel of the blade into the appropriate sharpening slot, ensuring the blade is centered and perpendicular to the sharpener.
3. Pull Through: With light, consistent downward pressure, slowly pull the knife blade through the slot from heel to tip. Maintain a steady speed. Do not saw back and forth.
4. Repeat: Repeat the pulling motion 3-5 times for each side of the blade in the same slot. Alternate sides (left and right guides within the slot) to ensure an even edge.
5. Progress Through Stages: Move from Coarse to Fine, then to Polish, as needed.
6. Power Off: Once sharpening is complete, turn off the sharpener and unplug it.
7. Clean Blade: Carefully wipe the blade with a damp cloth to remove any metal filings before use.

Detailed Stage Usage:

• Slot 1 (Coarse - 360# Diamond): Use this slot for very dull, damaged, or re-profiling knife edges. Apply moderate pressure.
• Slot 2 (Fine - 600# Diamond): Use this slot for knives that are moderately dull or to refine the edge after using the Coarse slot. Apply light pressure.
• Slot 3 (Polish - 1000# Resin): Use this slot for daily maintenance, to achieve a razor-sharp edge, or to polish the blade after using the Fine slot. Apply very light pressure.
