4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean your remote control, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

4.2 Battery Care

  • Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working.
  • Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type (AAA).
  • If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

If you experience issues with your remote control, try the following steps:

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge. Replace them if necessary.
    • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the infrared sensor on your DVD/HDD recorder.
    • Verify that the remote is pointed directly at the device.
  • Limited range:
    • Replace the batteries with fresh ones.
    • Ensure no strong light sources (like direct sunlight or bright fluorescent lights) are interfering with the IR signal.
