1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

  • WARNING: Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts.
  • Adult supervision is recommended during play.
  • Do not operate the robot near water or in wet conditions.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the robot to strong impacts.
  • Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Robot

  1. Locate the charging port on the back of the robot.
  2. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the robot's charging port and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
  3. The robot's indicator light may show charging status (refer to robot's specific light behavior).
  4. Charge for approximately 90-120 minutes until fully charged.

5.2 Installing Remote Control Batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert 2 x 1.5V AA (for Model 822/828) or 2 x AAA (for Model 826) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

5.3 Powering On

  1. Locate the power switch on the robot (often on the back or chest).
  2. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position. The robot may emit a sound or its LED eyes will light up.
  3. The robot and remote control should automatically pair. If not, try turning both off and on again.

6. Operating Instructions

Your RC Robot offers multiple ways to interact and play.

6.1 Remote Control Operation

Use the remote control to command the robot. Refer to the diagram below for button functions:

  • Forward/Backward: Moves the robot in the specified direction.
  • Turn Left/Right: Rotates the robot.
  • Program: Initiates programming mode (see 6.3).
  • Song/Music: Plays various songs or music.
  • Dance: Activates dance routines.
  • Tongue Twister/Pi Maths/Science Popularization: (Specific to Model 822) Engages educational content.
  • Mode Switch: Toggles between different modes (e.g., walk/slide).
  • Volume +/-: Adjusts the robot's sound volume.
  • STOP: Halts all current actions.

6.2 Gesture Control

The robot can respond to hand gestures. Ensure your hand is within the sensor's range (typically in front of the robot's chest).

  • Forward: Move your hand forward in front of the robot.
  • Backward: Move your hand backward in front of the robot.
  • Turn Left: Swipe your hand to the left in front of the robot.
  • Turn Right: Swipe your hand to the right in front of the robot.

6.3 Intelligent Programming

The programming function allows you to create a sequence of actions for the robot to perform.

  1. Press the 'Program' button on the remote control.
  2. Input a series of desired movements (e.g., Forward, Turn Left, Dance) using the remote control buttons.
  3. Press the 'Program' button again to save and execute the sequence. The robot will perform the programmed actions rhythmically with dynamic music.

6.4 Auto Display & Patrol

  • Auto Display: The robot will perform a pre-programmed demonstration of its various functions.
  • Patrol and Obstacle Avoidance: When activated, the robot will move forward and, upon encountering an obstacle, will automatically move backward and then turn left or right to avoid it.

6.5 Walk and Slide Modes

The robot can switch between walking and sliding movements.

  • Use the 'Mode Switch' button on the remote control to toggle between 'Walk' and 'Slide' modes.
  • In 'Walk' mode, the robot uses its legs for bipedal movement.
  • In 'Slide' mode, the robot glides smoothly on its feet.

6.6 Model 828 Specific: Smart Football Game

Model 828 includes a smart football game feature.

  • Utilize the remote control to intelligently maneuver the robot to play a football game.
  • The robot can demonstrate kicking actions as part of this game.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the robot and remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or liquids.
  • Battery Care:

    • Remove batteries from the remote control if it will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
