4.1 Battery Installation
- Gently open the back cover of the device.
- Insert one CR2450 button battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

4.2 Device Placement
The device offers multiple placement options:
- Desktop Placement: Use the included bracket to place the device on any flat surface, such as a table or shelf.

4.3 Connecting to the Mijia App
- Download the "Mi Home/Mijia" app from your smartphone's app store.
- Open the Mijia app and create an account or log in.
- Important: In the app settings, set the region to "Mainland China" for proper device detection and functionality.
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to find and connect to your Xiaomi Mijia Electronic Thermometer and Humidity Sensor via Bluetooth.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Display Overview
The electronic ink screen displays the current temperature and humidity. An emoticon is also shown to intuitively express comfort levels based on the readings.

5.2 Switching Temperature Units
After connecting the device to the Mijia app, you can switch the temperature unit between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉) within the app's plugin settings for the device.

5.3 Side Button Functionality
The button on the side of the device serves multiple purposes:
- Initiate Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Switch the position of the temperature and humidity display on the screen.
- Reset the device (long press).

5.4 Baby Mode Smart Reminder
When connected via a Bluetooth gateway, the Mijia app can activate "Baby Mode." This feature automatically reminds you if the indoor temperature or humidity exceeds the baby's comfort zone, helping to ensure a healthy environment for infants.
Note: Baby Mode requires a Bluetooth gateway for full functionality.

5.5 Historical Data Storage
The device can store up to 3 months of temperature and humidity change data locally. When connected to the Mijia app, this data can be uploaded to the cloud (up to 6 months of storage) and viewed as a historical curve within the app.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To clean the device, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the electronic ink screen or internal components.
6.2 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the device stops responding, it may be time to replace the CR2450 button battery. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1.
The device is designed for approximately 2 years of battery life under normal usage conditions.

- Device not displaying readings:
- Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient power. Replace the CR2450 battery if necessary.
- Unable to connect to Mijia app:

- Verify that the Mijia app's region setting is set to "Mainland China." This is crucial for the device to be recognized.
- Try resetting the device by long-pressing the side button.
- Ensure your smartphone is within Bluetooth range of the device.
- Incorrect temperature/humidity readings:
- Ensure the device is not placed in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with extreme drafts, which can affect accuracy.
- Allow the device some time to stabilize after initial setup or relocation.
