Operating Instructions
Once installed, the GRC Rubber Mud Flaps operate passively to protect your RC vehicle. They are designed to deflect mud, dirt, and debris thrown by the wheels, keeping your chassis and body cleaner during off-road adventures. No active operation is required.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy or dusty conditions, clean the mud flaps with water and a soft brush to remove accumulated dirt.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mud flaps and their mounting brackets for any signs of damage, cracks, or loose screws.
- Tightening: If any screws appear loose, gently tighten them to ensure the mud flaps remain securely in place. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the plastic chassis or screw threads.
Troubleshooting
- Mud Flap is Loose: Check all mounting screws and nuts. Tighten them if necessary. Ensure the bracket is correctly aligned with the chassis mounting points.
- Mud Flap is Damaged: If a mud flap or bracket is significantly damaged, it may need to be replaced to maintain optimal protection and appearance.
- Interference with Wheels: If the mud flap rubs against the wheels, check the installation alignment. Ensure it is mounted correctly and not bent. Adjust if possible, or re-install.

- Consider applying a small amount of thread-locking compound to screws if they frequently come loose, but be cautious as this can make future disassembly difficult.
- Clean mud flaps regularly to prevent dirt buildup, which can add unnecessary weight and potentially affect performance.
