Setup and Installation

Display Unit Placement and Charging

Place the display unit on your dashboard where it can receive direct sunlight for solar charging and is easily visible. Ensure it does not obstruct your view while driving. For initial setup or when solar charging is insufficient, use the provided Micro-USB cable to charge the unit.

External Sensor Installation

  1. Prepare the Tire Valve: Ensure the tire valve is clean and free from debris.
  2. Install Hexagon Nut: Screw the hexagon nut onto the tire valve stem.
  3. Install External Sensor: Screw the external sensor onto the tire valve stem.
  4. Tighten with Wrench: Use the provided wrench to tighten the hexagon nut against the sensor to prevent theft and ensure a secure fit.
  5. Check for Leaks: After installation, check for any air leaks.

Built-in Sensor Installation

Note: Built-in sensor installation requires professional assistance as it involves tire removal and re-balancing.

  1. Remove Original Tire Air Nozzle: Deflate the tire and remove the original valve stem.
  2. Install Tire Pressure Sensor: Install the built-in sensor according to the position marked by the sensor (usually inside the tire, replacing the valve stem).
  3. Tire Inflation: Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure.
  4. Cover Air Nozzle: Secure the air nozzle cap.
  5. Dynamic Balancing: After installation, it is crucial to perform dynamic balancing of the wheel.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Automatic Functions

  • The display unit will automatically power on when it detects vibration (e.g., when the car starts moving).
  • It will automatically enter sleep mode when the vehicle is static for a period to save battery.
  • The screen brightness adjusts automatically based on ambient light conditions.

Monitoring Display

The display shows real-time tire pressure and temperature for all four wheels. The bold, three-color display makes it easy to read information at a glance. The unit also indicates battery status for both the monitor and individual sensors.

Setting Pressure and Temperature Limits

Refer to the detailed instructions in the included manual for how to access the settings menu using the 'Set Key' and 'Select Key' on the display unit to adjust the upper and lower limits for tire pressure and temperature according to your vehicle's specifications.

Alarm System

The system provides timely visual and audible alarms for various conditions:

  • Air Leakage Alarm: Alerts when rapid air loss is detected.
  • High/Low Tire Pressure Alarm: Activates if pressure falls outside the set limits.
  • High Tire Temperature Alarm: Warns if tire temperature exceeds the safe threshold.
  • Low Monitor Power: Indicates the display unit's battery is low.
  • Low Sensor Power: Indicates a specific tire sensor's battery is low.
  • Sensor Failure: Alerts if a sensor is not transmitting data correctly.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the display unit with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Charging: Regularly ensure the display unit is charged, utilizing solar power or USB charging as needed.
  • External Sensor Battery Replacement: External sensors typically have a battery life of 2-3 years. When a low sensor power alarm occurs, the battery (CR1632) can be replaced by unscrewing the sensor cap.
  • Built-in Sensor Battery Replacement: Built-in sensors have a battery life of 3-5 years. Battery replacement for built-in sensors usually requires professional service as it involves dismounting the tire.
  • Environmental Resistance: The sensors are designed to be waterproof, corrosion-resistant, cold-resistant, and high-temperature resistant, but extreme conditions should still be avoided where possible.

Troubleshooting

  • Display Not Turning On: Ensure the unit is charged (solar or USB). If the car is static, gently shake the unit or start driving to activate the vibration sensor.
  • No Tire Data Displayed: Check if sensors are correctly installed and transmitting. For external sensors, ensure they are tightened. For built-in sensors, professional inspection might be needed. Ensure the vehicle is moving above 25 km/h for data updates.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Verify that tire pressure limits are set correctly. Ensure sensors are paired to the correct wheel positions. If issues persist, re-calibration or sensor replacement might be necessary.
  • Low Sensor Battery Alarm: Replace the battery for external sensors. For built-in sensors, consult a professional.
  • Alarm Sounds Frequently: Check tire pressure and temperature against set limits. Adjust limits if they are too sensitive for your driving conditions, but always prioritize safety.

User Tips

  • For optimal solar charging, position the display unit where it receives maximum sunlight.
  • Regularly check tire pressure manually with a gauge to cross-reference with the TPMS readings, especially after installation.
  • Keep the Micro-USB charging cable handy for charging on long trips or during periods of low sunlight.
  • Familiarize yourself with the alarm sounds and indicators so you can quickly respond to potential tire issues.
