Maintenance

Waterproofing (IPX7)

The Dacom Athlete headphones are rated IPX7 waterproof, meaning they are protected against immersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. This makes them ideal for sports, protecting against sweat and rain. However, they are not designed for swimming or prolonged submersion. Always ensure the charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe the headphones with a soft, damp cloth after use, especially after workouts, to remove sweat and dirt.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the headphones in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • The memory steel cable allows for flexible storage; you can gently pull and restore their shape for compact storage.

Troubleshooting

  • Headphones not pairing: Ensure the headphones are in pairing mode (indicator flashing). Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth, then try pairing again. Make sure the headphones are charged.
  • No sound: Check the volume level on both your headphones and your connected device. Ensure the headphones are properly paired.
  • Volume control: Please note that volume control is typically managed directly from your connected device (phone or tablet), as the headphones themselves do not have dedicated volume buttons.
  • Voice prompt language: The headphones support both Chinese and English voice prompts. If the language is incorrect, try referring to the full user manual for specific instructions on how to switch the voice prompt language, or try common button combinations (e.g., triple-tap during pairing).
  • Intermittent connection: Ensure you are within the 10-meter transmission range and there are no significant obstacles between the headphones and your device.

User Tips

  • Extended Playback: With a 2-hour charge, the headphones can provide up to 20 hours of continuous music playback, making them suitable for long periods of use.
  • Wearing with Glasses: The ear-hook design is generally compatible with most glasses frames, providing a stable fit. Adjust the ear hooks gently to find the most comfortable position.
  • Water Resistance Clarification: While IPX7 rated for immersion, it's best to avoid intentionally submerging the headphones for extended periods or using them for swimming to prolong their lifespan. They are primarily designed for protection against sweat and rain during sports.
