SOS Function

In case of emergency, press the 'SOS' button on the alarm host or remote controller. The system will immediately trigger the alarm and send notifications to pre-set emergency contacts.

Alarm Notifications

When an alarm is triggered, the system will:

  • Activate the wired siren.
  • Send push notifications to the Smart Life app, indicating the triggered defense zone.
  • Send SMS messages to pre-set alarm SMS numbers.
  • Make phone calls to pre-set alarm phone numbers.

System Settings (via Host Display)

Navigate through the alarm host's 2.4-inch TFT LCD display using the keypad to access and modify settings such as:

  • Adding/removing sensors and remote controllers.
  • Configuring defense zone attributes (24-hour, ordinary, home, delay).
  • Setting alarm phone and SMS numbers.
  • Adjusting siren volume and duration.
  • Enabling/disabling host prompts.
  • Managing user accounts (1 administrator, 15 visitors).

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

  • PIR Detector: Replace 4 AAA batteries (DC 6V) when the low battery indicator appears on the sensor or app.
  • Window/Door Sensor: Replace the CR2032 lithium battery (DC 3V) when the low battery indicator appears.
  • Remote Controller: Replace the CR2032 lithium battery (DC 3V) when the remote's indicator light dims or it becomes unresponsive.

Cleaning

Wipe the alarm host and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as this may damage the devices.

Backup Battery

The alarm host has a built-in backup battery. In case of a power outage, the system will continue to operate for a limited time. Ensure the main power supply is restored promptly to recharge the backup battery.

Troubleshooting

  • System not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check Wi-Fi password and signal strength. Try restarting the alarm host and your router.
  • 4G/GSM not working: Verify the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a valid plan. Check for network coverage in your area.
  • Sensors not triggering alarm: Ensure sensors are properly paired and within range of the alarm host. Check sensor batteries. Verify the defense zone is armed.
  • False alarms: Check PIR sensor placement to avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts. Ensure door/window sensors are securely mounted and not easily dislodged. Adjust sensor sensitivity if available.
  • Remote controller unresponsive: Replace the remote controller battery. Re-pair the remote with the alarm host if necessary.
  • App notifications not received: Check app settings for notification permissions. Ensure the alarm host has a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G).

  • Optimal Sensor Placement: For PIR sensors, avoid placing them directly facing windows or heat sources to minimize false alarms. For door/window sensors, ensure the two parts are within 1cm of each other when the door/window is closed.
  • Regular Testing: Periodically test your alarm system (e.g., once a month) by triggering a sensor to ensure sirens, app notifications, SMS, and calls are working correctly.
  • Backup Power Awareness: While the system has a backup battery, it's crucial to address power outages promptly to maintain continuous protection.
  • App Integration: Leverage the Tuya Smart Life app's capabilities to link your alarm system with other smart home devices for enhanced automation and security routines.
  • Account Management: Utilize the multi-account feature to provide limited access to family members or trusted individuals without giving full administrative control.
