5. Setup and Installation
5.1. Battery Installation
The PR200 motion detector requires 2 AA 1.5V batteries. Open the back cover of the device to access the battery compartment and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
5.2. Mounting Height and Location
The motion detector must be mounted 79 to 87 inches (2 to 2.2 meters) above the floor for optimal detection. Install the bracket on the wall using the provided screws. Then, attach the motion detector to the holder and adjust its angle to cover the desired detection range.

5.3. DIP Switch Settings
Inside the device, you will find DIP switches to configure specific functions:
- Switch 1 (LED Light Switch):
- ON: LED light is ON.
- OFF: LED light is OFF.
- Switch 2 (Trigger Time):
- ON: 5 minutes delay for re-triggering.
- OFF: 5-second delay for re-triggering.
5.4. Connecting to a Security Panel
The Staniot PR200 is a wireless sensor that needs to be connected to a compatible Staniot security host (alarm panel) to function as part of a security system. Refer to your security panel's manual for instructions on how to pair wireless sensors. The wireless parameters are 433MHz, eV1527.
6. Operating Instructions
Once installed and paired with your security panel, the PR200 motion detector will continuously monitor its detection area. When motion is detected, it will send a signal to the security host, which will then trigger an alarm and send instant APP alerts to your connected devices.
- Motion Detection: The sensor detects infrared heat emitted by moving objects within its 110° detection angle.
- Instant APP Alerts: Upon detection, the security panel will notify you via your smartphone application.
- Anti-Tamper Alarm: If the detector is forcibly removed or opened, its anti-tamper switch will trigger an alarm.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the detection window and the device's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the LED indicator shows red, it signifies low battery. Replace both AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
- Regular Testing: Periodically test the motion detector by walking through its detection area to ensure it triggers the alarm system correctly.

9. Troubleshooting and Important Notices
- False Alarms:
- Ensure the motion detector is not installed within 3 feet (1 meter) of heat sources (e.g., electric heaters, vents, fireplaces) or other sources that may create turbulent air currents.
- Avoid installing the detector behind large appliances or furniture that could obstruct its signal or detection path.
- Pet Immunity: The motion sensor is designed with pet immunity. Normally, pets under 6-15kg will not trigger the alarm. However, pay attention to your pet's movement range and distance from the detector. If a pet moves excessively or gets too close, it may still trigger an alarm.
- Outdoor Use: Do not install the motion detector outdoors to avoid exposure to rain and other weather elements, as it is not waterproof.
- Detection through Glass: The motion detector cannot detect motion through glass. Therefore, it will not detect someone moving outside a window.
- Connectivity: This is not a Wi-Fi motion sensor. It requires connection to a compatible 433MHz security host (alarm panel) to function. It will not work independently via Wi-Fi.
10. User Tips
- Pet Consideration: If you have pets, carefully consider the placement of the sensor and test its pet immunity feature to minimize false alarms.
- System Compatibility: Always ensure your security panel is compatible with 433MHz, eV1527 wireless sensors before purchasing.
- Optimal Placement: Experiment with the mounting angle to achieve the best detection coverage while avoiding areas prone to false triggers.
