Setup and Installation

  1. Insert Micro SD Card:

Before installation, ensure a Class 10 or higher speed Micro SD card (up to 128GB) is inserted into the dash cam. Format the card within the dash cam settings before first use.

  2. Mount the Dash Cam:

Attach the dash cam to your windshield using the magnetic bracket. Choose a location that does not obstruct your view of the road. The magnetic bracket allows for easy attachment and removal of the main unit.

  3. Connect Power:

Connect the USB car charger to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and the mini USB cable to the dash cam. Route the power cable neatly along the windshield and dashboard using the provided cable hiding clips and wire trim tool.

  4. Install Rear Camera (Optional):

If using the rear camera, mount it on the rear windshield or license plate area. Connect its cable to the main dash cam unit. Ensure the cable is routed safely and securely.

Operation

  1. Automatic Recording:

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically start recording. The screen will display live views from the connected cameras.

  2. Loop Recording:

The dash cam supports loop recording, overwriting the oldest files when the memory card is full. You can set video segment lengths (e.g., 3, 5, or 10 minutes) in the settings.

  3. G-Sensor (Emergency Recording):

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten, ensuring critical evidence is preserved.

  4. Parking Monitoring:

For 24-hour parking monitoring, the dash cam requires a continuous external power source (e.g., a hardwiring kit, sold separately). If an impact is detected while parked, the camera will automatically turn on, record a 1-minute video, and lock it. The dash cam uses a super capacitor for power, not a traditional battery.

  5. GPS Tracking:

The built-in GPS module records your driving route, speed (KM/H or MP/H), longitude, and latitude. This data can be viewed using the "AZDOME Player" software on your computer.

  6. Wi-Fi Connectivity and AZDOME App:

Connect your smartphone to the dash cam via Wi-Fi using the free AZDOME app. This allows for live viewing, video playback, downloading, editing, and sharing of recorded footage.

  7. Super Night Vision:

The F/1.8 wide aperture and 6-Glass wide-angle lens, combined with a Sony IMX307 sensor, provide superior image quality in low-light conditions, capturing details like license plates more accurately.

Maintenance

  • SD Card Management:

Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) within the dash cam settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use only high-quality Class 10 or higher speed cards.

  • Cleaning:

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lenses and the dash cam screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.

  • Firmware Updates:

Check the official AZDOME website or app for available firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date ensures the best performance and access to new features.

Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Turning On:

Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car charger, and that the car charger is properly inserted into the vehicle's power outlet. Check if the vehicle's power outlet is functioning.

  • Recording Issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files):

Format the Micro SD card regularly. Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or above) and genuine Micro SD card. Replace the card if issues persist.

  • GPS Not Working:

Ensure the dash cam has a clear view of the sky for GPS signal acquisition. It may take a few minutes to acquire a signal after startup. Check the GPS settings in the dash cam menu.

  • Wi-Fi Connection Problems:

Make sure the AZDOME app is installed on your smartphone and that Wi-Fi is enabled on both the dash cam and your phone. Try restarting both devices.

  • Parking Monitor Not Activating:

The parking monitor requires a continuous power supply, typically via a hardwiring kit (sold separately). Ensure the hardwiring kit is correctly installed and providing power when the vehicle is off. Adjust G-sensor sensitivity if needed.
