Setup and Installation

1. Removing the Back Cover
To access the wiring terminals or for maintenance, the back cover of the remote controller needs to be removed.
- Locate the slots marked "OPEN" on the back of the controller.
- Carefully insert a minus (flathead) screwdriver into the slots.
- Gently twist the screwdriver to pry open the back cover.
- Exercise caution to avoid damaging the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) inside the remote controller.

2. Wiring (Professional Installation Recommended)
Connect the provided cable to the appropriate terminals on both the remote controller and the LG Air Conditioner unit. Refer to your air conditioner's main unit manual for specific wiring diagrams and safety precautions. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the unit or controller.
3. Mounting
Once wired, secure the remote controller to a suitable wall location using screws. Ensure it is mounted at a convenient height for operation and away from direct sunlight or heat sources that could affect temperature readings.
Operating Instructions
The remote controller features a clear display and various buttons for controlling your LG Air Conditioner. The main control panel is accessible by opening the front flap.

Basic Controls (Visible without opening flap):
- Power Button: Turns the air conditioner ON or OFF.
- Temperature Up/Down Arrows: Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
- Mode Button: Cycles through operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto).
- Fan Speed Button: Adjusts the fan speed.
Advanced Controls (Under the flap):
- Time: Used for setting the current time.
- Cancel: Cancels a programmed setting.

Troubleshooting and Self-Diagnosis Codes
The remote controller can display self-diagnosis codes to indicate potential issues with the air conditioning system. These codes are visible when the front flap is open (refer to Figure 3).
