Setup
1. Power Supply Connection
The XY-BDT module requires a DC power supply ranging from 5V to 24V, with a recommended current output of 1A or more. It is compatible with standard 5.5-2.1mm or 5.5-2.5mm power adapter plugs. Connect the power adapter to the DC input jack on the board.
Important Note:
- Using a power supply below 9V may lead to distortion if the volume is set too high. Ensure adequate voltage for optimal performance.

2. Audio Input Selection
The module supports two audio input modes: Bluetooth and AUX. The selection is automatic based on connection or can be controlled via the mobile APP.
- AUX Input: Connect an audio source (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the 3.5mm AUX IN jack using an AUX cable. The module will automatically switch to AUX input mode.
- Bluetooth Input: If no AUX cable is plugged in, the module will default to Bluetooth mode. Search for "XY-BDT" on your device's Bluetooth settings and pair.

3. Audio Output Connection
The audio output is provided via a 3.5mm AUX OUT interface. This output is designed to connect to the AUX input of an active power amplifier. It cannot directly drive passive speakers due to its low signal output power. It is suitable for driving 16Ω or 30Ω headphones directly.

4. Mobile APP Control (Sinilink)
The XY-BDT module supports control via the Sinilink mobile application. This allows for switching audio input modes and potentially other functions.
- Download the APP: Scan the QR code below to download the Sinilink APP.
- APP Permissions: Ensure that the Sinilink APP has the necessary permissions enabled in your phone's settings for proper functionality and Bluetooth connection.

Figure 8: Knob Functionality Overview
1. Volume Control
- The central knob controls the total volume. Rotate it clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease.
- This knob also functions as a button:
- Short Press: Play/Pause audio.
- Long Press: Power On/Off the module.
2. Treble Adjustment
- The left knob controls the treble.
- Rotate clockwise to increase treble output.
- Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease treble output.
3. Bass Adjustment
- The right knob controls the bass.
- Rotate clockwise to increase bass output.
- Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease bass output.
Maintenance
- Keep the module in a dry environment and away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Avoid exposing the module to dust, dirt, or liquids.
- Clean the surface of the module with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion.
Troubleshooting

Figure 9: Important Notes for Product Use
Common Issues and Solutions:
- No Bluetooth Connection / Cannot Find Bluetooth:
- The module uses a PCB antenna with a visible connection distance of over 15 meters without obstruction.
- Keep the module away from Wi-Fi routers or other strong signal interference sources.
- Avoid placing the module on metal surfaces, as metal can shield the PCB antenna signal.
- If the module is enclosed in a metal casing, ensure the Bluetooth antenna is led out of the casing to prevent signal shielding.
- Ensure the Sinilink APP has necessary permissions if you are trying to connect via the app.
- Audio Distortion at High Volume:
- This can occur if the power supply voltage is below 9V and the volume is set too high.
- Ensure your power supply is within the recommended 5V-24V range, and ideally above 9V for high volume usage.
- Reduce the volume to prevent distortion.
- No Audio Output:
- Verify that the audio output is connected to an active power amplifier's AUX input, or to 16Ω/30Ω headphones. The module cannot directly drive passive speakers.
- Check all cable connections for security.
- Ensure the correct audio input mode (Bluetooth or AUX) is selected or automatically engaged.
User Tips
- For the best audio output quality and to prevent distortion, especially at higher volumes, it is highly recommended to use a power supply with a voltage greater than 9V.
- When using a 5V power supply, be mindful of the volume level to avoid distortion.
- Experiment with the treble and bass knobs to fine-tune the sound to your preference and match your connected audio equipment (e.g., active mid-tweeter speakers, subwoofers).
