5. Setup and Die Installation

5.1 Die Installation

  1. Select the appropriate crimping die for your pipe fitting.
  2. Locate the positioning pin on the tool head. Pull out the bolt to unlock the jaw.
  3. Insert the selected die into the universal jaw, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  4. Load the universal jaw with the die into the tool head and lock the bolt back into place using the positioning pin fixation mechanism.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective pipe crimping:

  1. Install Crimping Die: Install the suitable crimping die into the tool head as described in Section 5.1.
  2. Prepare Pipe: Ensure the pipe and fitting are clean and properly aligned for crimping.
  3. Position Tool: Place the tool around the pipe fitting, ensuring the die fully encompasses the joint.
  4. Close Valve: Close the valve on the tool to put it into working condition.
  5. Operate Handle: Repeatedly operate the handle to pressurize the clamp head. Continue until the dies fully close and the crimp is complete.
  6. Release Pressure: Open the valve to release the pressure and allow the dies to retract.
  7. Remove Tool: Carefully remove the tool from the crimped joint.
