Refer to the detailed wiring diagrams below for visual guidance:

6. Operating Instructions
Once the controller is correctly installed and connected to a compatible KT Display, you can operate your ebike. The specific functions will depend on your KT Display model and ebike setup.
- Power On/Off: Use the power button on your KT Display to turn the system on or off.
- Speed Control: Adjust speed using the throttle or by engaging the Pedal Assist System (PAS).
- Braking: Activating the brake levers will cut off motor power, ensuring safe stopping.
- Display Functions: Your KT Display will show information such as speed, battery level, assist level, and trip distance. Consult your KT Display manual for detailed operation.
7. Maintenance
- Keep Clean and Dry: Regularly wipe down the controller with a dry cloth. Avoid exposing it to water, mud, or excessive dust.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for tightness and signs of corrosion or damage. Loose connections can lead to intermittent power or system failure.
- Avoid Overheating: Ensure the controller has adequate airflow and is not covered, especially during prolonged use, to prevent overheating.
- Storage: When storing the ebike for extended periods, especially in cold conditions, ensure the battery is properly maintained and stored according to its own manual.
8. Troubleshooting
- Q: The motor is not responding or has intermittent power.
- A: Check all power connections, including the battery and motor phase wires. For Hall sensor models, ensure the Hall sensor wires are securely connected. Verify that the KT Display is powered on and functioning correctly.
- Q: My controller seems to be missing a plug for headlights.
- A: Not all controller models or kits include dedicated headlight connections. Please check your specific product variant's specifications or contact customer support for information on compatible accessories or alternative wiring solutions.
- Q: There are extra cables that look like they bypass signals for the screen and cruise line. Are these correct?
- A: Some controllers may include additional wiring for advanced features like display bypass or cruise control. Refer to the detailed wiring diagrams for your specific model to understand the function of each cable and ensure correct connection for these features.
9. User Tips
- Match Components: Always ensure your controller's voltage and current ratings are compatible with your ebike motor and battery specifications.
- KT Display Only: Remember that these controllers are designed exclusively for KT brand displays. Using other displays will result in incompatibility.
- Secure Connections: Before every ride, quickly check that all visible connections are secure to prevent unexpected disconnections.
- Motor Type: Confirm whether your motor is a Hall sensor type or sensorless and select the appropriate controller model ('S' for Hall sensor, 'P' for sensorless).
