3. Setup Guide
The RTL6300 is designed for outdoor installation to optimize 5G signal reception. Professional installation is recommended for optimal performance and safety.
3.1 Package Contents
Verify that your package contains the following items:
- EE 5G Outdoor Router (Cylindrical Unit)
- EE 5G CPE (Rectangular Unit)
- Power Adapter
- Mounting Hardware (if included)
- Ethernet Cable
3.2 SIM Card Installation
The device supports a UICC (Universal Integrated Circuit Card) for 5G connectivity. Locate the SIM card slot on the outdoor router unit. Carefully insert your activated 5G SIM card into the designated slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the device is powered off before inserting or removing the SIM card.
3.3 Physical Installation (Outdoor Router)
Choose a suitable outdoor location for the cylindrical router unit, preferably high up and with a clear line of sight to the nearest 5G cell tower. Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the router. Ensure all cables are properly routed and protected from environmental elements.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Connecting Devices
You can connect devices to the CPE via Wi-Fi or Ethernet:
- Wi-Fi: Locate the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password printed on a label on the CPE. Connect your wireless devices (smartphones, laptops, etc.) to this network.
- Ethernet: Use an Ethernet cable to connect devices directly to the LAN ports on the CPE for a wired connection.
4.2 Accessing the Web Management Interface
To configure advanced settings, access the device's web management interface:
- Ensure your device is connected to the CPE's network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (e.g.,
192.168.1.1or192.168.0.1) into the address bar. Refer to the device label or documentation for the exact IP address. - Enter the default username and password (often
adminfor both, or as specified on the device label). - From the interface, you can manage Wi-Fi settings, network security, parental controls, and more.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols, as they may damage the device.
5.2 Firmware Updates
Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features. Firmware updates are typically performed via the web management interface.
5.3 Environmental Considerations
As an outdoor device, the router is designed to withstand various weather conditions. However, ensure it is securely mounted and that all cable connections are waterproofed to prevent damage from moisture.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Internet Connection:
- Check if the SIM card is properly inserted and activated.
- Ensure the outdoor router has a clear line of sight to the 5G cell tower.
- Verify that all cables between the outdoor router and indoor CPE are securely connected.
- Restart both the outdoor router and indoor CPE.
- Slow Speeds:
- Check the signal strength indicator on the device or in the web interface.
- Relocate the outdoor router to a position with better signal reception.
- Ensure no other devices are consuming excessive bandwidth.
- Cannot Access Web Interface:
- Verify your device is connected to the CPE's network.
- Ensure you are using the correct IP address, username, and password.
- Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
