6. Calibration and Debugging

The ES-PC300 allows for user calibration and adjustment of various parameters to ensure accuracy. The menu system is divided into “Advanced User Menu” and “Regular User Menu”, each protected by a password.

6.1 Accessing Menus

  • Advanced User Menu: Entry password is “00066”. This menu allows setting the display unit and display mode.
  • Regular User Menu: Entry password is “00016”. This menu is for special settings required for on-site use.
  • Password Setting Menu (Lock): To enter the Lock page, press ▲ and ▼ simultaneously. Here you can set the password range (19999~99999) and enter the menu password. If the password is incorrect or there’s no key operation within 30 seconds, it will return to measurement mode.

6.2 Regular User Menu Settings

  • DiSAL (Over Range Alarm Switch): Adjustable range (0-1). “0” disables the alarm, “1” enables it. A flashing prompt will be displayed if the pressure value exceeds 125% or falls below 25% of the calibration range.
  • OFSt (Display Offset Value): Default is 0. This value can be adjusted to offset the displayed value.
  • FiLt (Filter Constant Setting): Adjustable range (0-4), default is “2”. A larger value increases interference suppression but decreases sensitivity.
  • SPAn (Sensor Sensitivity Correction Factor): Default is “1.000”. Use this to correct sensor sensitivity changes after ensuring zero point error is corrected.

6.3 Advanced User Menu Settings

  • Unit (User Unit Setting): Adjustable range (0-12). Select from 12 types including MPa, KPa, Pa, bar, mbar, Psi, kg, mmHg, mm, m, °C, and none.
  • -DP- (Display Resolution Setting): Sets the number of decimal places displayed in measurement mode.
  • DP-L (Display Lower Range Setting): Adjustable range (-1999~9999).
  • DP-H (Display Upper Limit Setting): Adjustable range (-1999~9999).
  • ZERO (Zero Full Shielding Coefficient): Adjustable range (0.0~1.0). Default is “0.0” (off). A value of “0.1” means the transmitter output near zero or full point will stabilize, preventing jumping due to interference.

6.4 Production Debugging Menu

  • Ad-L (Zero Calibration Point): Press ▲ and ▼ simultaneously to start collecting the current value. Press ▲ and ▼ again to confirm the collection once the value stabilizes.
  • Ad-H (Full Calibration Point): Use the same collection method as zero calibration.

6.5 Exiting the Settings Menu

  • End (Exit Settings Menu): Adjustable range (0-1). “0” exits without saving, “1” saves and exits.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and accurate performance of your ES-PC300 pressure transmitter, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust, dirt, and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Connection Checks: Periodically inspect all electrical and pressure connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion or damage.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage and maintain accuracy.
  • Avoid Physical Impact: While the device has anti-damping design, avoid unnecessary physical shocks or impacts to the sensor.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ES-PC300 pressure transmitter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Device Does Not Light Up: The meter head has reverse polarity protection. If the instrument does not light up, check the current input wiring for correct polarity. The device will not be damaged by reverse polarity.
  • Flashing Prompt on Display: If the display shows a flashing prompt, it indicates an over-range condition. The pressure value may be exceeding 125% or falling below 25% of the calibrated range. Check the pressure source and recalibrate if necessary.
  • Unresponsive in Setting Mode: If the device automatically exits setting mode, it is likely due to inactivity. The instrument will automatically return to measurement mode if no button is operated within 60 seconds.
  • Inaccurate Readings: If readings are inaccurate, consider performing a user calibration (refer to Section 6) or checking the sensor sensitivity correction factor (SPAn) in the Regular User Menu.
  • Unstable Readings: If readings are unstable, adjust the filter constant setting (FiLt) in the Regular User Menu. A higher value provides stronger interference suppression. Also, ensure the ZERO (Zero Full Shielding Coefficient) is set appropriately to prevent output jumping.

9. User Tips

  • Application Suitability: This sensor is designed for general pressure measurement. It may not be suitable for high-impact pressure applications, such as those found in internal combustion engines (ICE), where sudden pressure spikes could affect its performance or longevity.
  • Customization: The measuring range, thread size, output, and power supply can be customized. If you have specific requirements, contact customer service before purchase.
  • Calibration Importance: Regularly calibrate the device, especially the zero position and full degree, to maintain accuracy over time.
