3. Setup Guide
3.1. Unboxing and Initial Placement
- Carefully remove the Mi Smart Speaker and its accessories from the packaging.
- Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure there is adequate space around the speaker for optimal sound dispersion.
3.2. Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the DC 12V/1.5A input port on the back of the speaker.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The speaker will power on automatically, and the LED light ring on top will illuminate.

3.3. Connecting to Google Home App
- Download the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet (Android 4.4 / iOS 9.0 or higher).
- Open the Google Home app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new device. The app will guide you through connecting the speaker to your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz/5GHz, IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).
- During setup, you will configure Google Assistant and link your music streaming services.
3.4. Bluetooth Pairing
To use the speaker as a Bluetooth device:
- Say "Ok Google, pair with Bluetooth" or use the Google Home app to initiate Bluetooth pairing mode.
- On your smartphone or other device, go to Bluetooth settings and select the Mi Smart Speaker from the list of available devices.
3.5. Stereo Pairing (Two Speakers)
For an immersive stereo experience, you can pair two Mi Smart Speakers:
- Ensure both speakers are set up and connected to the same Wi-Fi network via the Google Home app.

4.1. Voice Control with Google Assistant
To activate Google Assistant, simply say "Ok Google" followed by your command or question. The LED light ring will respond to indicate it is processing your request.
- Music Playback: "Ok Google, play my workout playlist on Spotify."
- Information: "Ok Google, what's the weather like today?" or "Ok Google, tell me a fun fact."
- Reminders & Alarms: "Ok Google, set an alarm for 7 AM." or "Ok Google, remind me to buy coffee at 7 PM."
- Smart Home Control: "Ok Google, turn on the lights." or "Ok Google, start the vacuum cleaner."

4.2. Tactile Controls
The top panel of the Mi Smart Speaker features touch-sensitive buttons for direct control:
- Volume Up/Down: Tap the '+' or '-' symbols.
- Play/Pause: Tap the play/pause symbol.
- Microphone Mute: Tap the microphone symbol to mute/unmute the microphones for privacy.

4.3. LED Light Indicator
The LED light ring on the top of the speaker provides visual feedback on its status:
- Processing Command: The light ring will animate in various colors.
- Connected/Idle: A steady light or subtle animation.
- Microphone Muted: A specific color or pattern to indicate the microphone is off.

4.4. Chromecast Built-in
With Chromecast built-in, you can stream audio from compatible apps on your phone directly to the Mi Smart Speaker, or cast video content to a connected TV:
- Ensure your Mi Smart Speaker and the casting device (e.g., TV) are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open a Chromecast-enabled app (e.g., YouTube, Netflix, Spotify) on your phone or tablet.
- Tap the Cast icon and select your Mi Smart Speaker or connected TV.
