EASUN POWER 8000W 12000W Inverter

EASUN POWER Pure Sine Wave Inverter User Manual

Models: 8000W, 12000W

1. Product Introduction

This series of off-grid inverters are controlled by a digitized CPU and produce a true sine wave DC/AC output. They convert energy from a battery pack into AC voltage. The output is a pure sine wave (THD <3%) and can operate efficiently under 0%-100% load conditions, with a maximum efficiency of up to 92%.

The inverter's surge power can increase more than double its continuous rating, making it suitable for various load types, including inductive and capacitive loads. It is designed for a wide range of applications such as computers, communications equipment, yachts, recreational vehicles, home recreational devices, motors, electric tools, industrial-control devices, video players, and household appliances.

The product features a full LED display for working status, low battery capacity warning, and all-digital control. It complies with CE/FCC/LVD/ROSE norms.

3. Setup

3.1 Connection Diagram

The inverter is designed to be integrated into a solar power system. Ensure all connections are secure and follow polarity markings carefully to prevent damage.

Connection diagram for solar power system with inverter
This diagram illustrates the typical connection sequence: Solar Panels → Charge Controller → Battery → Inverter → AC Loads (e.g., laptop, drill, coffee machine, phone, chainsaw).
  1. Solar Panels: Connect your solar panels to a compatible charge controller.
  2. Charge Controller: Connect the charge controller to your battery bank. This regulates charging to protect the battery.
  3. Battery: Connect the battery bank to the DC input terminals of the inverter. Pay close attention to positive (+) and negative (-) polarity. Reversing polarity will damage the unit.
  4. Inverter: Once the DC input is connected, you can connect your AC appliances to the output sockets of the inverter.

3.2 Initial Power-Up

Before turning on the inverter, double-check all connections. Ensure the battery voltage matches the inverter's input voltage (12V, 24V, or 48V). Turn on the inverter using the power switch located on the front panel.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Display Information

The inverter features an LED display that provides real-time information about its operation.

Inverter display showing battery voltage, load power, output frequency, output voltage, battery power, and backup mode
The display shows key operational parameters: Input Battery Voltage (VDC), Output Frequency (Hz), Output Voltage (VAC), Load Power (%), Battery Power (%), and indicates 'Backup Mode' when active. The display automatically changes between three modes.

4.2 Smart Fan Operation

The inverter incorporates a smart fan design for efficient temperature control and prolonged machine stability. The fan operation is intelligently controlled based on the internal temperature:

Smart fan design temperature thresholds and operation
The smart fan system operates based on temperature: below 45°C, the fan does not turn on (saving energy); at or above 45°C, the fan starts; above 45°C, the fan speed increases to ensure normal inverter operation.
  • Temperature < 45°C: The fan does not operate, saving energy.
  • Temperature ≥ 45°C: The intelligent temperature control system activates, and the fan begins to operate.
  • Temperature > 45°C: The fan speed increases proportionally to the temperature to ensure optimal cooling and normal operation of the inverter.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your EASUN POWER inverter, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep Clean: Regularly clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry, soft cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris to allow proper airflow for cooling.
  • Check Connections: Periodically inspect all electrical connections (DC input, AC output) for tightness and corrosion. Loose connections can lead to overheating and poor performance.
  • Environment: Operate the inverter in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and flammable materials.
  • Battery Health: Ensure your battery bank is well-maintained and charged according to its manufacturer's specifications. A healthy battery is crucial for inverter performance.
  • Avoid Overloading: Do not exceed the continuous power rating of the inverter. While it has surge capacity, prolonged overloading can cause damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Output Power:
    • Check DC input connections for proper polarity and secure contact.
    • Verify battery voltage is within the operating range (12V, 24V, or 48V depending on model).
    • Ensure the inverter's power switch is in the 'ON' position.
    • Check for any tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses in the system.
  • Low Output Voltage / Intermittent Power:
    • The battery might be low. Recharge or replace the battery.
    • The load connected might be too high. Reduce the load to within the inverter's continuous power rating.
    • Check for loose or corroded battery terminals or DC input cables.
  • Overheating / Fan Running Constantly at High Speed:
    • Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter. Clear any obstructions from the fan vents.
    • Reduce the connected load.
    • Check ambient temperature; if too high, relocate the inverter to a cooler environment.
  • Inverter Shuts Down:
    • This could be due to low battery voltage, overload, or overheating. Refer to the above points.
    • The inverter has built-in protection mechanisms. Allow it to cool down or recharge the battery before restarting.

7. User Tips

Based on user feedback and common inquiries, here are some helpful tips:

  • Verify Real Rated Power: Always confirm the continuous (rated) power of the inverter, not just the peak power, to ensure it meets your appliance requirements. Some users have noted discrepancies or concerns about the 'real' rated capacity, so it's good practice to check the specifications carefully against your needs.
  • Motherboard Integrity: While rare, some users have reported issues with incomplete or lightened motherboards in similar products. If you notice any unusual behavior or physical imperfections upon inspection, contact support immediately.
  • Proper Sizing: When selecting an inverter, consider the starting (surge) power of your appliances, especially those with motors (e.g., refrigerators, pumps), as this can be significantly higher than their running power.
