3. Package Contents
Your MACHINIST B75 LGA 1155 Motherboard package typically includes:
- 1 x MACHINIST B75-PRO U5 Motherboard
- 1 x I/O Shield
- 1 x SATA Data Cable

4. Setup Guide
Before starting the installation, ensure your power supply can adequately support this platform (at least a 500W brand power supply is recommended).
4.1. CPU Installation
Carefully open the CPU socket retention arm. Align the triangular mark on your LGA 1155 CPU with the corresponding mark on the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket without forcing it. Close the retention arm to secure the CPU.
4.2. Memory (RAM) Installation
The motherboard has two DDR3 memory slots, supporting a maximum of 32GB (2x16GB) of non-ECC DDR3 RAM. Open the clips on both ends of the memory slot. Align the notch on the RAM module with the key in the slot. Press down firmly on both ends of the RAM module until the clips snap into place.

4.3. M.2 SSD Installation
The motherboard includes one NGFF M.2 slot (SATA M.2) that supports 2280 size SSDs. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle, then gently push it down and secure it with the provided screw.

4.4. Connecting Peripherals and Power
Refer to the diagram below for the location of various ports and connectors. Connect your power supply's 24-pin main power connector and CPU fan connector. Connect SATA drives to the SATA 3.0 (green) and SATA 2.0 (black) ports. Connect front panel headers (Power SW, Reset SW, HDD LED, Power LED) according to your case manual. Install your graphics card into the PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot if you are not using integrated graphics.

5. Operating Instructions
Once all components are correctly installed and connected, power on your system. The motherboard will initiate the POST (Power-On Self-Test) process. If all components are detected correctly, the system will proceed to boot from your installed operating system. Access the BIOS/UEFI setup by pressing the designated key (usually DEL or F2) during startup to configure system settings, boot order, and other advanced options.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean your computer's interior to prevent dust buildup, which can lead to overheating. Use compressed air to remove dust from fans, heatsinks, and motherboard components.
- BIOS Updates: Keep your BIOS updated to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with new hardware. Check the official MACHINIST support website for the latest BIOS files and update instructions.
- Battery: The CMOS battery (CR2032) on the motherboard is used to store BIOS settings. If you experience issues with settings resetting, the battery may need replacement. Note that the battery is typically removed before shipping due to logistics requirements.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Power/Boot: Ensure all power connectors (24-pin ATX, 4/8-pin CPU) are securely seated. Verify your power supply is sufficient (at least 500W recommended).
- Display Issues: If using integrated graphics, ensure your CPU supports it. If using a dedicated graphics card, ensure it is properly seated in the PCI-E x16 slot and has adequate power. Check monitor connections.
- Component Not Detected: Re-seat RAM modules, M.2 SSDs, and other expansion cards. Check SATA cable connections for storage devices.
- Color Variation: The color of the bottom plate of the slot may vary between manufacturing batches. This is normal and does not affect product functionality or performance.
8. User Tips
- Windows 11 Compatibility: While the motherboard supports LGA 1155 CPUs, Windows 11 has specific hardware requirements (like TPM 2.0) that might not be met by older CPUs or chipsets. Verify your CPU's compatibility with Windows 11 requirements.
- Processor Compatibility: The board supports Intel Xeon Scalable and Intel Core processors (LGA 1155 series). For specific models like the Intel Xeon E3-1230v2, ensure it is an LGA 1155 socket type. Note that an Intel i5-750 is an LGA 1156 CPU and is not compatible with this LGA 1155 motherboard.
- BIOS Updates: For BIOS files and updates, always check the official MACHINIST support website or contact their customer service for the most reliable and compatible versions.
- Form Factor: This motherboard is a Micro-ATX (mATX) form factor, which is important for case compatibility.
