5.4 Alarm Functions

The CJ780 provides multiple alarm types for enhanced security:

  • Towed Away Move Alarm: If the vehicle is towed away while ACC is OFF and moves a set distance (e.g., 300 meters), the device will issue an SMS alarm and/or phone alarm to the main control number.
  • Vibration Alarm: Alerts you if the vehicle experiences significant vibration.
  • Displacement Alarm: Triggers if the vehicle moves from its parked location.
  • Low Battery Alarm: Notifies you when the tracker's backup battery is low.
  • Power Off Alarm: Alerts you if the main power supply to the tracker is cut off.
  • Over Speed Alert: Notifies you if the vehicle exceeds a predefined speed limit.
  • Dismantle Alarm: Alerts if the device is tampered with or removed.

Setting Towed Away Alarm:

  1. Ensure ACC is linked (see wiring).
  2. Set the main control number (see 4.3).
  3. Send SMS command: tow1,300 (tow1 for SMS alarm, tow2 for phone alarm, tow3 for SMS + phone alarm; 300 is the distance in meters).

ACC Status Automatic Arming:

  • When ACC is OFF: SMS and phone alerts will be issued automatically when the vehicle vibrates or is towed.
  • When ACC is ON: The vehicle vibrates without sending SMS and phone alerts (to avoid false alarms during driving).
