4.2 Wiring Diagram
Proper wiring is crucial for the correct functioning of the GPS tracker and its remote oil/power cut-off feature. The tracker supports a wide voltage range of 8V-95V.
Important: The remote oil/power cut-off function requires the tracker to be combined with a relay. Ensure the relay is correctly wired according to the diagram for your specific model (2-pin or 4-pin).
4.3 Initial Configuration (SMS Commands)
After installation, you may need to configure the device using SMS commands.
- Set Main Control Number: Send
admin123456 + [your phone number]to the tracker's SIM card number. (Example:admin123456 +86186XXXXXXX) - Set APN: If the device cannot obtain location information, you may need to set the APN. Send
APN123456 [your APN]to the tracker. (Example:APN123456 CMNETfor Chinese operators. Consult your local SIM card carrier for the correct APN.) - Check Device Status: Send
statusto the tracker to receive information about battery, GPRS, GSM, GPS, ACC, oil, and power status.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Tracking Platform and Mobile App
The YunTrack CJ780 offers a lifetime free tracking platform accessible via a mobile app and web interface. You can download the app by scanning the QR codes provided or visiting the web tracking URL.
Register an account on the platform using your device's IMEI/ID. The platform allows for real-time tracking, history route playback, and managing various device settings and alarms.
5.2 Remote Oil/Power Cut-off and Resume
This feature allows you to remotely cut off or restore the vehicle's oil/power supply via the mobile app or SMS commands. This is particularly useful in case of theft to prevent the vehicle from being driven further.
When your mobile phone receives a power failure alarm message, if you find that the thief has stolen your car, you can control the key to turn off the car, so that the thief can't drive the car away. You need to click through your mobile phone to use it again.
5.3 ACC Detection
The device intelligently detects the ACC (Accessory) switch status of your vehicle. This allows for more accurate tracking and alarm triggering based on whether the vehicle's ignition is on or off.
5.4 Alarm Functions
The CJ780 provides multiple alarm types for enhanced security:
- Towed Away Move Alarm: If the vehicle is towed away while ACC is OFF and moves a set distance (e.g., 300 meters), the device will issue an SMS alarm and/or phone alarm to the main control number.
- Vibration Alarm: Alerts you if the vehicle experiences significant vibration.
- Displacement Alarm: Triggers if the vehicle moves from its parked location.
- Low Battery Alarm: Notifies you when the tracker's backup battery is low.
- Power Off Alarm: Alerts you if the main power supply to the tracker is cut off.
- Over Speed Alert: Notifies you if the vehicle exceeds a predefined speed limit.
- Dismantle Alarm: Alerts if the device is tampered with or removed.
Setting Towed Away Alarm:
- Ensure ACC is linked (see wiring).
- Set the main control number (see 4.3).
- Send SMS command:
tow1,300(tow1for SMS alarm,tow2for phone alarm,tow3for SMS + phone alarm;300is the distance in meters).
ACC Status Automatic Arming:
- When ACC is OFF: SMS and phone alerts will be issued automatically when the vehicle vibrates or is towed.
- When ACC is ON: The vehicle vibrates without sending SMS and phone alerts (to avoid false alarms during driving).
5.5 Geo-fence
Set up virtual boundaries (geo-fences) on the tracking platform. You will receive alerts if the vehicle enters or exits these predefined areas.
5.6 History Route Playback
Review the historical routes of your vehicle on the tracking platform, allowing you to see where the vehicle has been at specific times.
5.7 Anti-Detection
The CJ780 is designed with anti-detection capabilities to prevent external detection of undesirable modules. It can save data even at static/low speeds and track movement at low speeds.
5.8 Positioning Technology
The CJ780 utilizes a combination of Beidou, GPS, and LBS (Location Based Service) positioning technologies. This allows it to automatically switch between methods based on environmental signal strength to ensure accurate positioning, even in areas with weak GPS signals.
5.9 Wide Voltage Protection
The device supports 8V-95V vehicle installation, making it suitable for various vehicles including cars, carts, and electric bicycles. It features built-in protection against high voltage to prevent damage.
