3. Product Overview & Controls

Familiarize yourself with the microscope's components and controls:

  • Power On/Off: Button to turn the device on or off.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

The microscope has a built-in 1800mAh battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided power cable connected to the USB port. A full charge provides approximately 2.5 hours of continuous use.

4.2 Inserting the Micro-SD Card

Locate the memory card slot on the side of the microscope. Gently insert the provided 32G Micro-SD card until it clicks into place. This card is essential for saving photos and videos.

4.3 Assembling the Stand (Optional)

If your model includes a stand, follow these steps for assembly:

  1. Loosen the fixed knob on the stand.
  2. Adjust the object distance to a suitable height for your observation.
  3. Tighten the fixed knob to secure the height.
  4. Rotate the screw hole on the AD203 microscope body into the screw assembly of the bracket.
  5. Assemble the screw assembly and put it into the bracket.
  6. After adjusting the desired angle, tighten and lock the bracket.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  1. Power On: Press and hold the 'Power On/Off' button.
  2. Adjust Screen: The 4-inch LCD screen can be flipped up and rotated 360 degrees for optimal viewing angles.
  3. Place Object: Position the object you wish to observe directly under the microscope lens.
  4. Adjust Focus: Rotate the 'Focus Wheel' until the image on the screen is clear.
  5. Adjust LED Lights: Use the 'LED Light Brightness +/-' slider to illuminate your subject appropriately.

5.2 Taking Photos and Videos

  • To take a photo: Press the 'Picture Capture' button once. The image will be saved to the Micro-SD card in JPG format.
  • To record a video: Press the 'OK/Start Video Record' button once to start recording. Press it again to stop. Videos are saved in AVI format.

5.3 Menu Navigation

Press the 'Mode/Menu' button to access the device's settings and switch between different modes (e.g., photo mode, video mode, playback mode). Use the 'Up/Zoom In' and 'Down/Zoom Out' buttons to navigate through options, and 'OK' to select.

5.4 Connecting to a PC

The AD203 microscope supports PC connection for Windows 7/8/10 using 'amcap' software. Connect the microscope to your computer using the USB cable. The microscope screen will display 'PC Camera'. You can then view the live feed and access files on your computer.

5.5 Transferring Files

After connecting to a PC, you can access the Micro-SD card content directly. The files will be organized in folders (e.g., DCIM). You can copy videos (AVI format) and photos (JPG format) to your computer for further viewing or sharing.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microscope body. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches.

  • Blurry Image: Adjust the 'Focus Wheel' until the image is sharp. Ensure the object is within the minimum focus range (1cm).
  • Dark Image: Increase the brightness of the LED lights using the 'LED Light Brightness +/-' slider.
  • Cannot Save Files: Check if the Micro-SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. If the card is full, transfer files to a computer and delete them from the card, or replace the card.
