5. Setup and Installation
The CF-WR760AC is designed for easy configuration. Follow these three simple steps to extend your WiFi signal. The default mode is Repeater mode.
- Connect to Repeater WiFi: On your phone or laptop, connect to the WiFi network named similar to "COMFAST_xxx" or "Repeater-5A05-2G/5G". This is the repeater's default SSID.
- Access Configuration Page: Open a web browser and enter
192.168.10.1in the address bar. This will take you to the login interface. Enter the default password, which is typicallyadmin, to access the settings interface. - Select Network and Enter Password: Once logged in, select the superior WiFi network (your main router's WiFi) that you wish to amplify from the list. Input the password for your main WiFi network. After successful configuration, the corresponding icon on the OLED display will illuminate.
Once configured, the repeater retains its settings and can be plugged into any power outlet in your house to extend coverage without re-configuration.

6. Operating Modes
The CF-WR760AC supports multiple operating modes to suit various networking needs:
- Repeater Mode (Wireless to Wireless): Extends the existing WiFi signal from your main router to cover a larger area, eliminating dead zones.
- AP/Router Mode (Wired to Wireless): Connect an Ethernet cable to the repeater, and it will function as an access point or router, broadcasting a new WiFi signal.
- Client Mode (Wireless to Wired): Allows devices without wireless capabilities (e.g., desktop computers, smart TVs) to connect to your WiFi network via an Ethernet cable plugged into the repeater.

7. Troubleshooting
- Slow Speeds or Dropped Connection: A poor signal connection between the repeater and your main router can lead to slow speeds or dropped connections. Ensure the repeater is placed within optimal range of your main router.
- Password Issues: The password for the repeater should be the same as your main router's WiFi password. Ensure it does not exceed 32 characters and avoids special characters like spaces.
- Configuration Not Working: If initial setup fails, double-check the steps in Section 5. Ensure you are connecting to the repeater's default SSID first and entering the correct IP address (192.168.10.1) and password ('admin').
- No COMFAST Logo: Some production batches may not feature the COMFAST logo on the repeater. This is normal and does not indicate a counterfeit product.
8. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best results, place the repeater roughly halfway between your main router and the area where you need improved WiFi coverage. The OLED display can help you gauge signal strength.
- Password Consistency: Remember that the repeater's password will mirror your main router's WiFi password after setup.
- Antenna Adjustment: Experiment with the angle of the four rotatable antennas to optimize signal reception and transmission in your specific environment.
- Wired Connection for Stability: For devices requiring the most stable connection, utilize the Ethernet port on the repeater in Client Mode.
9. Maintenance
The COMFAST CF-WR760AC is designed for reliable, long-term operation with minimal maintenance.
- Keep Vents Clear: Ensure the cooling holes on the sides of the device are not obstructed to prevent overheating and maintain stable performance.
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Check the official COMFAST website periodically for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
