2. Initial Power On and Charging

Operating Instructions
1. Connecting to a Vehicle
- Locate the vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side).
- Connect the OBD Diagnostic Cable to the vehicle's OBD-II port and to the DB 15 Diagnostic Interface port on the X431 PRO ELITE tablet.
- Ensure a secure, wired connection for stable and low-latency diagnostics.
2. Performing a Diagnostic Scan
- Turn the vehicle's ignition to the 'ON' position (engine off).
- On the X431 PRO ELITE, select the 'Diagnose' or 'Vehicle Coverage' application.
- The tool will attempt to automatically identify the vehicle's VIN. If successful, confirm the vehicle information. If not, you may need to manually enter vehicle details (make, model, year).
- Select 'Full System Scan' or choose specific systems (e.g., Engine, ABS, Airbag) to scan.
- The tool will read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and display live data streams.
3. Active Test (Bi-directional Control)
The Active Test function allows you to send commands to the vehicle's ECU to actuate specific components and monitor their response. This helps in quickly identifying faulty parts.
