1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

The remote control is pre-programmed and ready to use with compatible Pioneer AV Receivers once batteries are installed. No additional programming is required.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at your Pioneer AV Receiver. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver's IR sensor.

4.1 Basic Functions

  • POWER ON/OFF: Press the RECEIVER button to turn the AV Receiver on or off.
  • INPUT SELECT: Use the INPUT SELECT buttons (e.g., CD, TV, DVR, TUNER) to switch between different audio/video sources.
  • VOLUME CONTROL: Press VOLUME + to increase volume and VOLUME - to decrease volume.
  • MUTE: Press the MUTE button to temporarily silence the audio. Press again to restore sound.
  • MENU NAVIGATION: Use the arrow buttons (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT) and ENTER button to navigate menus on your AV Receiver's display.
  • RETURN: Press the RETURN button to go back to the previous menu or exit a menu.

4.2 Advanced Functions

The remote includes buttons for various advanced functions specific to Pioneer AV Receivers, such as:

  • BD MENU: Access Blu-ray Disc menu functions.
  • AUDIO PARAMETER: Adjust audio settings.
