Product Overview

Front View and Controls

The front of the device features the 5-inch LCD screen and a set of control buttons on the right side for easy navigation and operation. The telescopic antenna is located on the top right.

Rear View and Ports

Setup

1. Charge the Battery: Before first use, connect the provided charger to the DC-12V port and a power outlet (110V~240V). Allow the battery to fully charge.
2. Connect Antenna: Extend the telescopic antenna or connect the external cable antenna to the antenna input port for optimal signal reception.
3. Power On: Flip the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position.
4. Initial Language Setup: Upon first power-on, the device may prompt you to select your preferred OSD (On-Screen Display) language. Use the navigation buttons (CH+/-, VOL+/-, ENTER) to select and confirm.

   

5. Channel Scan: Navigate to the 'Channel Search' or 'Auto Scan' option in the menu to scan for available digital and analog channels. This process may take several minutes.

Important Note on Digital TV Standards:

The LEADSTAR D5 supports DVB-T/DVB-T2, ATSC, or ISDB-T standards. It is crucial to select the correct version compatible with your region's digital TV broadcasting standard. A motherboard cannot support all three signal standards simultaneously.

• DVB-T/DVB-T2: Common in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.
• ATSC: Used in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) and South Korea.
• ISDB-T: Primarily used in Japan and South American countries (e.g., Chile, Peru, Brazil). Note that the ISDB-T version of this TV does NOT support AC3 audio.

Operating Instructions

Basic TV Operation

• Power On/Off: Use the ON/OFF switch on the back or the power button on the remote control.
• Channel Selection: Use CH+ / CH- buttons on the device or remote to change channels.
• Volume Control: Use VOL+ / VOL- buttons on the device or remote to adjust volume.
• Input Source: Press the 'INPUT' button on the device or remote to switch between TV, USB, and TF Card modes.

Menu Navigation

Press the 'MENU' button to access the main menu. Use CH+/-, VOL+/- to navigate through options, and 'ENTER' to confirm selections.

Media Playback (USB/TF Card)

• Insert a USB flash drive or TF card into the respective port.
• Switch the input source to USB or TF Card using the 'INPUT' button.
• Navigate through the files and select the desired media (video, audio, image) to play.
• Supported video formats include MKV, MOV, AVI, WMV, MPEG1-4, MP4, FLV, rmvb, 3gp. Supported audio format is MP3.
• The device supports 1080P video playback and high bit rate decoding.

PVR Function (Recording)

The DTV (Digital TV) function supports recording HD TV programs directly to a connected USB flash drive or external hard disk. Refer to the on-screen menu for PVR setup and operation.

• No Power:

• No Signal/Poor Reception:

  • Check the capacity of the storage device; TF cards should not exceed 32GB, and USB drives should not exceed 500GB.
• Screen Freezes/Unresponsive:
