  3. Attach the portafilter securely to the brewing head.
  4. Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray, under the coffee spouts.
  5. Turn on the machine and wait for the indicator light to show it's ready for brewing (usually when the boiler has reached optimal temperature).
  6. Select the espresso brewing function (single or double shot, if available). The machine will automatically extract the coffee.
  7. Once brewing is complete, turn off the brewing function.
  8. Carefully remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds.

5.2 Frothing Milk for Cappuccino/Latte

  1. Fill a milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
  2. Turn the machine to the steam function and wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate.
  3. Position the steam nozzle just below the surface of the milk in the pitcher.
  4. Open the steam valve to release steam into the milk. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
  5. Once the milk is frothed to your desired consistency and temperature, close the steam valve.
  6. Wipe the steam nozzle immediately with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.
  7. Pour the frothed milk over your freshly brewed espresso to create a cappuccino or latte.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee machine. Always unplug the machine and allow it to cool down before cleaning.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

6.2 Descaling (Monthly or as needed)

Depending on water hardness, descaling should be performed regularly to prevent mineral buildup. Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for coffee machines or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).

  1. Empty the water tank and fill it with the descaling solution.
  2. Place a large container under the coffee spout and steam nozzle.
  3. Turn on the machine and run half of the descaling solution through the coffee spout.
  4. Then, run the remaining half through the steam nozzle.
  5. Turn off the machine and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Empty and rinse the water tank thoroughly. Fill it with fresh water.
  7. Run several cycles of fresh water through both the coffee spout and steam nozzle to rinse out any descaling solution.
