Setup

1. Install the Camera Cage:

   Carefully place your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro/G2 into the full camera cage. Secure it using the designated screws. The cage is designed to minimize wear and tear on your camera.

2. Attach the Top Handle:

   Mount the Tiltaing Quick Release Handle (TA-QRTH-B) to the top of the cage using the integrated chute and cold shoe design. This handle provides multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for additional accessories.

3. Install SSD Drive Holder:

   Attach the Tiltaing SSD Drive Holder for T5 (TA-SSDH-T5-B) to the cage. This holder is compatible with T5 and T7 SSD drives and provides a secure mounting point for external storage.

4. Attach Left Side Advanced Power Handle:

   Connect the Tiltaing Advanced Left Side Handle Attachment Type VI (TA-AHA6-L-B) to the left side of the cage. Then, attach the Tiltaing Left Side Advanced Power Handle with Run/Stop (F570 Battery) (TA-LRH-57-B) to this attachment. Use the Advanced Side Handle Run/Stop Cable for USB-C Port (RS-TA3-USBC) to connect the handle to your camera for power and remote control.

5. Install 15mm LWS Baseplate:

   Mount the Tiltaing 15mm LWS Baseplate Type VI (TA-BSP6-15-B) to the bottom of the cage. This baseplate allows for the attachment of 15mm rods for follow focus, matte boxes, and other rod-mounted accessories.

6. Connect HDMI and USB-C Adapters:

   Utilize the HDMI 90-Degree Adapter (TA-T01-HDA-90) and the 90-Degree USB-C Cable (CB-USBC-30) to provide more secure mounting and efficient operation, protecting your camera's ports.

7. Rod Installation:

   Insert the Aluminum rods (R15-200-B and R15-100-B) into the 15mm rod holders on the baseplate. Use the Connection Screws (R15-C) to secure them.

8. Detachable Bottom Plate:

   The cage features a detachable bottom plate. When operating in a half-cage mode, you can remove the bottom plate to install the original battery grip of your BMPCC 6K Pro.

Operating

• Accessory Mounting:

  The cage provides numerous mounting points including NATO Rail, Arri Compatible Rosettes, Cold Shoe Receivers, and 1/4''-20 threads with locating pins. These allow for flexible attachment of monitors, microphones, lights, and other accessories.

• Multiple Assembly Configurations:

  The modular design supports various operating setups, including handheld, gimbal, and tripod configurations. The ARCA quick release plate built into the cage allows for quick switching between gimbal and tripod setups.

• Adjustable Viewing Angle:

  The viewfinder extension allows for finding your best viewing angle, easily adaptable for different users' operating needs. The NATO rail adapter mounted viewfinder can be adjusted 360 degrees horizontally and vertically.

• External Storage Options:

  The cage supports mounting the Tilta M.2 SSD box, which easily mounts onto any 1/4"-20 screw holes on the camera cage, providing compact and space-efficient external storage.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the aluminum alloy and stainless steel components. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
• Inspection: Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight and secure. Use the provided Allen key and slotted screwdriver for adjustments.
• Storage: Store the camera cage and its accessories in a clean, dry environment when not in use to prevent dust accumulation and potential damage.

Troubleshooting

• Loose Connections: If any part of the rig feels loose, identify the corresponding screw or lever and tighten it securely. Refer to the setup section for proper assembly.
• Accessory Compatibility: Ensure all third-party accessories are compatible with the mounting standards (e.g., 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, NATO Rail, Arri Rosette) supported by the TILTA cage.
• Run/Stop Cable Not Working: Verify that the run/stop cable is correctly connected to both the power handle and the camera's USB-C port. Check camera settings to ensure external control is enabled.
