5. Setup Guide
5.1. Charging the Car Battery
- Connect the provided charger to a compatible power source (110-240V).
- Connect the 7.4V 1500mAh lithium battery to the charger.
- Allow approximately 2.5 hours for a full charge. The charger's indicator light will typically change color or turn off when charging is complete.
- Always supervise the battery during charging.
5.2. Installing Remote Controller Batteries
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote controller.
- Insert 4x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
5.3. Initial Power-On and Pairing
- Ensure the car's battery is fully charged and securely connected inside the car.
- Turn on the remote controller first using its power switch.
- Turn on the RC car. The car and remote should automatically pair. If not, refer to the troubleshooting section or the ESC manual for specific pairing instructions.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Remote Control Functions

Figure 5: Remote Control Layout and Functions.
- Throttle Trigger: Pull to accelerate forward, push to brake/reverse.
- Steering Wheel: Turn left to steer left, turn right to steer right.
- Steer Fine-tuning: Adjusts the neutral position of the steering. Use if the car doesn't drive straight.
- Steer Amplitude Adjust: Controls the maximum steering angle.
- Throttle Mode (70/30, 50/50): Select between different throttle response curves. Power off before switching.
- High Speed Mode/Children Mode Switch: Located on the remote, this switch allows you to toggle between full speed and a reduced speed mode, ideal for beginners or younger users. Ensure the remote is powered off before changing this setting.
6.2. Driving Tips
- Off-road Performance: The FY08 is equipped with large 3D.TPR all-terrain off-road wheels and an independent suspension system, allowing it to handle bumpy roads and various challenging environments.
- Brushless Power: The powerful brushless motor provides strong acceleration and a top speed of 60KM/H. Practice gentle throttle control to maintain stability.
- Waterproof ESC: The 35A waterproof ESC allows for operation in wet conditions, but avoid deep water to protect other electronic components.
- Balance Bar: The balance bar helps prevent the body from rolling when the left and right wheels are at different levels, enhancing stability during turns and over uneven terrain.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in dirty or wet conditions, clean the car with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid using water directly on non-waterproof electronic components.
- Battery Care:
- Always disconnect the battery from the car when not in use.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% of its capacity.
- Gear Inspection: Regularly inspect the metal gear planetary differential and steering gears for wear or damage. Replace worn parts as necessary using the provided spare gears or purchasing replacements.
- Suspension Check: Ensure the damped independent metal shock absorbers and horizontal shock absorption system are functioning correctly. Check for any leaks or damage.
- Fastener Check: Periodically check all screws and fasteners on the chassis and body for tightness. Tighten any loose components to prevent damage during operation.

8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Car does not respond to remote. | Low battery in car or remote; not paired; power switches off. | Charge car battery, replace remote batteries, ensure both are powered on and paired correctly. |
| Car drives slowly or lacks power. | Low car battery; "Children Mode" activated; motor/gear issue. | Recharge car battery. Check if the High Speed Mode/Children Mode switch is in the correct position. Inspect motor and gears for damage or obstruction. |
| Car does not drive straight. | Steering trim needs adjustment; damaged steering components. | Use the "Steer Fine-tuning" knob on the remote to adjust. Check steering servo and linkages for damage. |
| Loss of control/short range. | Interference; low remote battery; exceeding range. | Operate in an open area away from other 2.4GHz devices. Replace remote batteries. Stay within the specified operating range. |
| Car stops unexpectedly. | Battery low voltage protection activated; ESC overheating protection. | Recharge car battery. Allow the car to cool down if it has been running continuously at high intensity. |
9. User Tips
- For optimal performance, ensure the car battery is fully charged before each use. A full charge provides approximately 15 minutes of action time.
- The 2.4GHz remote control offers a range of up to 150 meters, allowing for extensive play areas.
- Utilize the "High Speed Mode/Children Mode" switch on the remote to adapt the car's speed to the driver's skill level or operating environment. Remember to power off the remote before switching modes.
- Take advantage of the car's independent suspension and large twist angle for superior handling on uneven and challenging terrains.
