This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Tuya WiFi Intelligent Curtain Motor. This device allows for automated control of various types of bead-chain roller blinds via mobile application and voice commands, integrating seamlessly into your smart home ecosystem.

The motor is designed for convenience, eliminating the need for manual curtain operation. It supports integration with popular voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home, offering a hands-free control experience. Its wide application supports Venetian blinds, vertical blinds, honeycomb shades, triple shades, roller shades, and zebra shades.

5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your Tuya WiFi Intelligent Curtain Motor:

1. Prepare the Installation Area: Identify a suitable location near your bead-chain roller blind for mounting the motor. Ensure there is a power outlet nearby.
2. Fix the Wall Panel: Securely attach the provided wall panel to the wall using the mounting screws and wall plugs.
3. Install the Motor: Slide the motor into the fixed wall panel until it clicks into place.
4. Select and Insert the Bead Chain Gear: Choose the appropriate bead chain gear from the package that matches your curtain's bead chain type (refer to Figure 2). Insert the bead chain into the motor's drive wheel.
5. Close the Wheel Cover: Close the wheel cover on the motor and tighten the curtain bead chain to ensure proper engagement.
6. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the motor and then into a wall outlet.

5.1 Initial Power-On and Reset

Upon first power-on, the indicator light on the motor should flash red. If it does not flash red, you may need to reset the motor. To reset, long press the "Set" key until the indicator light flashes red, then release. The motor will re-enter the distribution network state, and the indicator light will continue to flash.

6.1 Manual Control

The motor features physical buttons for basic control:

• Press the Up button to open the curtain.
• Press the Down button to close the curtain.
• Press the Middle button to pause the curtain movement.

6.2 Tuya Smart APP Control

To control the motor via your smartphone, you need to connect it to the Tuya Smart APP:

1. Download and Install Tuya Smart APP: Search for "Tuya Smart" in your mobile app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android) and install it.
2. Add Device:
   • Open the Tuya Smart APP and log in or register.
   • Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and location services are enabled.
   • Click "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the top right corner.
   • The APP should automatically discover the "Smart Curtain" device. If not, manually search for "Curtain Motor" or "Smart Curtain" in the device list.
   • Select the device and follow the on-screen prompts to connect it to your 2.4GHz WiFi network. Enter your WiFi password when requested.
   • Once connected, the device will appear in your APP.
3. Control via APP: From the Tuya Smart APP, you can open, close, or pause your curtains, and set schedules or scenes.

6.3 Voice Control (Alexa & Google Home)

The motor is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice commands:

1. Link Tuya Smart to Voice Assistant:
   • Open your Alexa or Google Home app.
   • Navigate to the "Skills" or "Works with Google" section.
   • Search for "Tuya Smart" and enable the skill/service.
   • Link your Tuya Smart account by entering your credentials.
2. Discover Devices: Once linked, ask your voice assistant to "Discover devices" or manually initiate device discovery in the app.
3. Voice Commands: You can now use commands such as:
   • "Alexa, open the curtain."
   • "Alexa, close the curtain."
   • "Hey Google, open the bedroom curtains."
   • "Hey Google, set the living room curtains to 50%."

6.4 Limit Setting and Deleting

The motor allows you to set upper and lower travel limits for your curtains. Refer to the "3.2 Limit setting / deleting limit" section in Figure 3 for visual guidance.

1. Set Upper Limit: Manually move the curtain to your desired upper limit position. In the APP, select "Upper limit setting" and confirm.
2. Set Lower Limit: Manually move the curtain to your desired lower limit position. In the APP, select "Lower limit setting" and confirm.
3. Delete Limit: If you need to adjust or remove a limit, navigate to the limit settings in the APP and select the option to delete the specific limit.

6.5 Switching Motor Direction

If the curtain moves in the opposite direction to your command, you can switch the motor direction. Refer to the "3.3 Switching motor direction" section in Figure 3 for visual guidance.

• In the APP settings for the curtain motor, locate the "Motor reverse" or "Direction switch" option.
• Toggle this setting to reverse the motor's operational direction.

• Cleaning: Wipe the motor's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Connection Check: Periodically check that the power adapter is securely plugged in and that the motor is firmly mounted.
• Bead Chain Inspection: Ensure the bead chain is free from obstructions and damage. A damaged chain can affect motor performance.
