The EKIY KK5 is an advanced Android-based car multimedia system designed for KIA Optima 4 K5 models from 2015 to 2020. It features a Blu-ray QLED touch screen, powerful processor, extensive connectivity options, and various smart driving assistance functions.

3. Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the vehicle's power is disconnected before starting installation.
3.1 Pre-Installation Check
Before installation, identify your car's original radio console type. If your car is TYPE B, please open your car's original radio console and provide a back view to the seller to ensure the correct jack-by-jack power cable is sent for plug-and-play compatibility.

3.2 Wiring Connections
- Connect the main power cable to the vehicle's wiring harness.
- Attach the GPS antenna to the designated port on the head unit.
- Connect the USB cables for external devices. Note for KK1 models: You cannot use two USB ports simultaneously.
- Connect the V-IN cable for video input (e.g., rear view camera).
- For KK3/KK5/EK5 models, install the 4G SIM card into the 4G SIM RCA Cable and connect the 4G Antenna.
- For KK1/KK2/EK1/EK2/EK3 models, connect the WiFi RCA Cable.
- Connect the included AHD Camera and Microphone.
- Install the Cooling Fan to prevent overheating.
3.3 Optional Accessories Installation
Some features require optional accessories, which must be purchased separately:
- 360° Camera: For KK3/KK5 models, the 360 panoramic camera function requires an additional IC to be added to the head unit. This must be done before the unit is shipped. KK1 & KK2 models do not support this function.
- USB External Carplay Dongle: Required for Carplay/Android Auto functionality on KK1 models.
- Steering Wheel Control (SWC) Buttons: If your car does not have original SWC buttons, compatible buttons can be purchased and installed.
- ADAS DVR: For advanced driver-assistance features and recording.
- OBD II: For on-board diagnostics. Note that ECU information can only be read on a cellphone app, not directly on the Android radio app.
- TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System): For real-time tire pressure and temperature display.
- Video-Out: To connect to rear headrest monitors.

The KK5 model offers Optical and Coaxial digital signal output, which is beneficial for connecting to external amplifiers and subwoofers for lossless audio input, reducing noise and enhancing sound quality.

4.1 Basic Navigation and User Interface
The EKIY multimedia player runs on an Android operating system, providing a familiar and intuitive user interface. Navigate through apps and settings using the touch screen.

4.3.1 Wi-Fi and 4G Internet

4.4.1 Radio (FM/AM/RDS)

4.5 Navigation and Smart Features

4.5.3 Split Screen Function

4.5.4 Mirror Link
Sync your iOS or Android phone screen to the car radio screen to display content like music, videos, and navigation. iOS devices (up to version 14.4) connect via Wi-Fi, while Android devices use a USB connection.

4.6 Driving Assistance Features (Optional)
4.6.1 Rear View Camera
When shifting into reverse gear, the multimedia unit automatically switches to the back-up camera view with parking lines for easier and safer parking.

4.6.2 360° Panoramic Camera
With the optional 360° camera, you can view your car's surroundings from different angles, with automatic switching when turning or reversing. This feature is supported on KK3/KK5 models if the necessary IC is pre-installed.

4.6.3 USB DVR + ADAS
By purchasing a specific USB recorder, you can view playback video on the car multimedia screen. Videos are recorded on the TF card of the USB recorder. The ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System) provides features like Car Movement Reminder, Collision Reminder, and Lane Departure Warning.

4.6.4 TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
The optional TPMS displays real-time tire pressure and temperature for all four tires. It will alert you immediately if any tire pressure or temperature is abnormal, ensuring driving safety.

4.6.5 OBD II (On-Board Diagnostics)
With the optional OBD II device, you can diagnose your car's status anytime. Please note that ECU information can only be read on a compatible cellphone app, not directly on the Android radio app.

5. Audio Settings
5.1 Digital Sound Processor (DSP)
The DSP allows for advanced audio customization, including equalizer adjustments, surround sound, bass enhancement, and bass filters. KK3 models feature a built-in 36 EQ DSP, while KK5 models have a built-in 2*16 EQ DSP. KK1 and KK2 models do not support DSP.

6. Maintenance
- Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the QLED touch screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Software Updates: Periodically check for system updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- Cooling Fan: Ensure the cooling fan (if installed) is free from obstructions to maintain proper ventilation and prevent overheating.
- General Care: Keep the unit free from dust and moisture. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
- Unit not powering on: Check all power connections. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on.
- No sound: Verify speaker connections and audio settings (volume, mute, DSP settings).
- GPS signal issues: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
- Bluetooth pairing problems: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and the unit is in pairing mode. Delete previous pairings and try again.
- Touch screen unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, check for firmware updates or perform a factory reset (note: this will erase all user data).
- Carplay/Android Auto not connecting: For wired connections, ensure the USB cable is functional. For wireless, check Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections.
- Slow performance: Close unnecessary background applications. Clear cache and temporary files.

- When using OBD II, remember that ECU data is viewed through a separate mobile application, not directly on the head unit's interface.

- The QLED screen offers excellent visibility; however, avoid direct prolonged exposure to strong sunlight when parked to maintain screen longevity.
