5. Setup Guide
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the Zemismart Z1 remote control. Place the remote onto its charging base. Ensure the charging base is continuously powered via its Micro USB port to maintain normal operation and charging of the remote.

5.2 Connecting to Tuya Smart App
The Zemismart Z1 remote control synchronizes with the Tuya Smart app for device management and control. Download the Tuya Smart app from your device's app store and follow the in-app instructions to add the handheld central control. This enables real-time synchronization of device information.

Note: To control Zigbee and BLE devices, a compatible Tuya Zigbee Gateway and Tuya BLE Gateway are required and must be set up within the Tuya Smart ecosystem.

6.2 Adding Infrared (IR) Devices
The remote supports adding infrared devices such as TVs, air conditioners, and set-top boxes. You can manually add these devices and customize their remote control buttons through the Tuya Smart app.
- On the remote, navigate to the "Remote control" function.
- If no IR device is found, select "add now".
- Choose the type of device (e.g., TV, Air Conditioner) and follow the on-screen prompts to pair.

6.3 Scene Linkage
