Figure 2: Wiring Diagram with Manual Wall Switch

  • Output N: Neutral Wire for Motor
  • Input N: Neutral Wire (typically Blue or White wire from AC Power)
  • Input L: Live Wire or Hot Wire (typically Brown/Red/Black wire from AC Power)
  • Input L (for switch): Input Live Wire for the toggle switch
  • Output L1: Brown Wire of Motor (1st output terminal for shutter motor)
  • Output L2: Black Wire of Motor (2nd output terminal for shutter motor)
  • S1: Terminal for 1st channel of the wall switch

7. User Tips

  • Compatibility Check: Always verify that the RF curtain remote is compatible with your specific roller shutter switch. This kit's switches are RF + WiFi version.
  • Wall Switch Position: When using the app to control the shutter, ensure any connected manual wall switch is in the 'STOP' position to prevent conflicts and protect the motor.
  • Wi-Fi Network: The device only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your router is configured correctly or your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz band during setup.
  • Multiple Modules: If using multiple modules in the same space, rest assured that each product has a unique ID, preventing interference.
  • Module Fit: If the module doesn't fit in your junction box, the screw holder can be removed with pliers for a more compact fit.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Module not responding:
    • Check if AC power is supplied to the module.
    • Ensure the module is correctly wired according to the diagrams in Section 4.
    • If using a manual wall switch, ensure it is in the 'STOP' position for app control.
    • Re-attempt pairing with the RF remote or re-add the device to the Smart Life/Tuya app.
  • App control not working:
    • Verify your smartphone has an active internet connection.
    • Confirm the module is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. 5GHz networks are not supported.
    • Check the Wi-Fi signal strength at the module's location.
    • Ensure the manual wall switch (if present) is in the 'STOP' position.
  • Motor not moving:
    • Confirm the motor is an AC-powered electric motor. DC motors are not compatible.
    • Check all motor wiring connections (N, L1, L2) to the module.
    • Ensure the motor has electronic or mechanical limit switches.
  • Interference with multiple modules: Our product with unique ID, no interference to use many kits in the same space. If you experience unexpected behavior, check for other RF devices operating on similar frequencies.
