General Safety Guidelines
- The manufacturer will not accept liability for any resulting damages caused by non-observance of this manual or any unauthorized modification to the device.
- Damages caused by manual modifications to the device are not subject to warranty.
- During operation, the fixture's housing becomes hot. Allow the fixture to cool for approximately 20 minutes before handling.
- Ensure the available voltage matches the rating on the rear panel.
- Completely remove power from the unit when not in use or before cleaning or servicing.
- Ensure the power cord is never crimped or damaged by sharp edges. Inspect the device and power cord regularly.
- Always disconnect from the mains when not in use or before cleaning. Handle the power cord by the plug; never pull by the cord itself.
- This device is Class I, so it is essential to connect the yellow/green conductor to earth.
- Electrical connections, repairs, and servicing must be carried out by a qualified employee.
- Do not connect this device to a dimmer pack.
- Avoid switching the fixture on and off in short intervals, as this reduces lamp life.
- During initial start-up, some smoke or smell may arise. This is normal and does not indicate a defect.
- Do not touch the device's housing with bare hands during operation (housing becomes hot)!
- For replacement, use lamps and fuses of the same type and rating only.
Be careful with your operations.
With a high voltage you can suffer a dangerous electric shock when touching the wires!
Operating Precautions
- The powerCON connector is not designed for breaking capacity; do not connect or disconnect under load or live.
- If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations, do not switch it on immediately. Allow it to reach room temperature to prevent condensation damage.
- Before switching the fixture OFF, turn the lamp OFF and allow it to cool.
- Never run the device without a lamp.
- Do not shake the device or use brute force during installation or operation.
- Never lift the fixture by holding it at the projector-head; use the transport handles.
- Choose an installation spot free from extreme heat, moisture, or dust. Ensure no cables are lying around to prevent hazards.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 8 meters between the light output and any illuminated surface.
- Block the area below the installation place when rigging, de-rigging, or servicing.
- Always secure the fixture with an appropriate safety rope attached to the correct holes.
- Only operate the fixture after ensuring the housing is firmly closed and all screws are tightly fastened.
- The lamp must never be ignited if the objective lens or any housing cover is open, as discharge lamps may explode and emit high ultraviolet radiation, causing burns.
- The maximum ambient temperature of 45°C must never be exceeded.
- Do not use the product in wet places or where the temperature exceeds 40°C.
- Do not place the product on unstable or shaky surfaces.
- Power supply voltage should not fluctuate more than +/-10%. High voltage reduces lamp life, low voltage affects luminosity.
- After powering off, allow 20 minutes for cooling before re-using.

4. Setup
4.1 Physical Installation
The fixture can be placed directly on the stage floor or rigged in any orientation on a truss without altering its operation characteristics.
- The structure used for installation must safely hold the weight of the fixture(s) and be certified for this purpose.
- Install the fixture(s) in accordance with national and local electrical and construction codes and regulations.
- IMPORTANT! Overhead rigging requires extensive experience, including calculating working load limits, understanding installation materials, and periodic safety inspections. If you lack these qualifications, seek professional assistance.
- CAUTION: Fixtures may cause severe injuries if they crash down! If you have any doubts about the safety of an installation, do not install the fixture.
- The fixture must be installed out of the reach of the public.
- The fixture must never be fixed swinging freely in the room.
- Danger of fire! When installing the device, ensure there is no highly inflammable material (decoration articles, etc.) within a minimum distance of 1 meter.
- The minimum distance of 8 meters between the light output from the moving head and the lit objects must be kept!
- For overhead installation, the fixture must always be secured with a safety wire that can bear at least 10 times the weight of the fixture.
- Use 2 appropriate clamps to rig the fixture on the truss. Follow the instructions mentioned at the bottom of the base. Ensure the structure (truss) to which you are attaching the fixtures is secure.
- For securing a fixture to the truss, install two safety wires which can hold at least 10 times the weight of the fixture. Use only safety wires with screw-on carabiners.
4.2 DMX-512 Connection
The fixture is equipped with both 3-pin sockets for DMX input and output, wired in parallel. Use a shielded twisted-pair cable designed for 3-pin XLR-plugs and connectors to connect the controller with the fixture or multiple fixtures in a chain.
Building a Serial DMX-Chain:
- Connect the DMX-output of the first fixture in the DMX-chain with the DMX-input of the next fixture.
- Continue connecting one output with the input of the next fixture until all fixtures are connected. Up to 32 fixtures can be connected.
- Caution: At the last fixture, the DMX-cable has to be terminated with a terminator. Solder a 120 Ω resistor between Signal (–) and Signal (+) into a 3-pin (or 5-pin) XLR-plug and plug it into the DMX-output of the last fixture.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Menu
The fixture features a 4-digit LED display and four control buttons: MENU, UP, DOWN, and ENTER.

- MENU: Used to move back to the previous screen.
- UP: Used to move up on the current page or increase a value.
- DOWN: Used to move down on the current page or decrease a value.
- ENTER: Used to save adjusted values, leave a menu, or perform a desired action.
To navigate the menu: Turn on the fixture, press the MENU button to enter menu mode. Use UP/DOWN to find the desired menu. Press ENTER to confirm. Use UP/DOWN to select a submenu. Press ENTER to save the setting or automatically return to the previous menu. Press MENU to return, or wait 30 seconds for automatic exit.
5.2 DMX Settings
From the main menu, you can access DMX settings to configure the fixture's DMX behavior.
DMX Address Code (A00 1-85 12 / 800 1-85 12)
Select 'DMX address code' and press ENTER. The current DMX address will be displayed. Use UP/DOWN to select an address from 001 to 512. Press ENTER to save. Press MENU to return or wait 30 seconds to exit.
DMX Last State
Select 'DMX last state' and press ENTER. The current mode will be displayed. Use UP/DOWN to select one of the following:
- Standby: The machine enters standby mode when the DMX signal stops.
- Hold: The machine maintains its last state when the DMX signal stops.
- Manual: The machine operates based on manually set parameters.
Press ENTER to save. Press MENU to return or wait 30 seconds to exit.
Observe DMX Channel Value
Select 'Observe DMX channel value' and press ENTER. The current channel and its value will be displayed. Use UP/DOWN to view other channel values. Press MENU to return or wait 30 seconds to exit.
Sound Control Mode (Sou 1-5049)
Select 'Sou 1-5049' and press ENTER. The current mode will be displayed. Use UP/DOWN to select '1' or '9'. Press ENTER to run the mode. Wait 30 seconds to automatically exit the menu mode.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of your SHEHDS LED Flat Par light.
6.1 Cleaning
It is essential to keep the fixture clean from dust, dirt, and smoke-fluid residues. Regular cleaning ensures maximum light output and reliable operation throughout its life.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with a good glass cleaning fluid. Do NOT use alcohol or solvents.
- DANGER! Always disconnect the fixture from the mains before starting any maintenance work.
- Weekly: Clean the front objective lens, as smoke-fluid residues can quickly reduce light output.
- Monthly: Clean the cooling fans.
- Annually: Clean the interior of the fixture using a vacuum cleaner or an air-jet.
- Remove dust and dirt from the fans and cooling vents using a soft brush and vacuum cleaner.
- Important! Check the air filters periodically and clean them before they become clogged. There are two air filters in the fixture's covers and two in the base. These can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, compressed air, or by washing and then drying them thoroughly.
6.2 Replacing the Fuse
Before replacing the fuse, always unplug the mains lead.
- Remove the fuse holder on the rear panel of the base using a fitting screwdriver (turn anti-clockwise).
- Remove the old fuse from the fuse holder.
- Install the new fuse into the fuse holder. Ensure it is of the same type and rating.
- Replace the fuse holder in the housing and fix it.
6.3 Checking Plastic Parts
Inspect the plastic parts of the fixture for damages and cracks at least every two months.
- Mechanically check the plastic part of the front lens if it is firmly fastened.
- If any cracks or damage are found on plastic parts, do not use the fixture until the damaged part is replaced.
- Damages can be caused by transportation, manipulation, or aging.
- This check is necessary for both fixed installations and preparing fixtures for renting. Any free-moving parts inside the fixture head, cracked plastic, or improperly seated front lens must be replaced immediately.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Lamp Does Not Work, No Light, Fan Does Not Run
- Check the power contact.
- Check the voltage.
7.2 Uncontrolled Stations
- Check whether the DMX signal connector and signal cable are connected correctly.
- Check whether the address code setting is correct.
- If DMX signal transmission is intermittent, check whether the XLR socket and the signal cable are well connected.
- Try with other controllers to isolate the issue.
- Check if the distance between the DMX signal line and the high-voltage line is too close, as this can cause damage or interference with the signal circuit.
7.3 A Channel Fails
- The stepper motor or motor lead may be damaged.
- The drive circuit of the motor may be damaged.
8. User Tips
- Optimal Performance: Always ensure proper ventilation around the fixture to prevent overheating, which can extend the lifespan of the LEDs and internal components.
- Signal Integrity: When setting up DMX chains, remember to terminate the last fixture with a 120 Ohm resistor to prevent signal reflection and ensure stable control.
- Placement: For the best visual effects and safety, position your LED Flat Par lights at least 8 meters away from any surfaces or performers they are illuminating.
- Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all cables and connections for wear and tear, especially in mobile setups, to maintain reliable operation.
