4. Installation
4.1 Wiring Diagram (No Neutral Wire Required)
This smart switch is designed for single live wire installations, eliminating the need for a neutral wire. A capacitor is required for stable operation, especially with low-wattage LED lights.

Wiring diagram for 1, 2, and 3 gang smart light switches without a neutral wire, showing live wire (red), load wire (blue), and capacitor connection.
Important: It is suggested to install this by an electrician or other professionals. When the glass panel is removed, please keep the switch power off.
4.2 Installation Steps
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove your existing light switch from the wall box.
- Identify Wires: Identify the Live (L) wire and the Load (L1, L2, L3) wires. This switch does not require a Neutral (N) wire.
- Connect Wires: Connect the Live wire to the 'L' terminal on the smart switch. Connect the load wires from your lights to the corresponding 'L1', 'L2', 'L3' terminals.
- Install Capacitor: Connect the included capacitor in parallel with the light fixture (across the Live and Load wires at the light bulb socket). This is crucial for stable operation, especially with LED lights.
- Mount Switch: Secure the smart switch into the wall box.
- Attach Glass Panel: Carefully attach the glass panel to the switch. Ensure it is securely in place before restoring power.
- Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on at the circuit breaker.

8. Troubleshooting
- Switch not responding: Check if the main power supply is on. Ensure the switch is correctly wired and the glass panel is securely attached.
- Lights flickering or not turning off completely: Ensure the capacitor is correctly installed in parallel with the light fixture. This is often necessary for low-wattage LED bulbs in no-neutral wire setups.
- Unable to pair with Wi-Fi: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Ensure the switch is in pairing mode (rapidly blinking indicator light). Try resetting the switch by turning off and on the power at the circuit breaker, then re-enter pairing mode.
- RF remote control not pairing: Follow the video instructions carefully. Ensure you are pressing the remote button within the 10-second window after initiating pairing in the app.
- Voice control not working: Verify that your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home app. Check the device name in the voice assistant app to ensure it matches your commands.
- LED indicators on switch: The LED indicators typically show blue when off and red when on. If you wish to disable the LEDs, check the device settings within the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app for an option to control indicator lights.
9. User Tips
- Capacitor Installation: Always install the capacitor as it helps protect circuits against voltage oscillation and ensures stable operation, especially for LED lights.
- Scene Creation: For advanced control, such as making one switch turn off another (simulating a parallel switch), utilize the scene creation features within the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app.
- Load Compatibility: This switch is primarily designed for lighting loads (5-150W/Gang). While it might work with some small motors like 50W fans, it's generally recommended for resistive loads (lights) to avoid potential issues with inductive loads.
