4.2 Power Connection Options
The dash cam typically uses a plug-and-play connection to the rearview mirror. Other power options are available:
- Wiring-free power: Standard connection for several models.
- Fuse box power: Supported for all models, may require additional cable.
- OBD power: Supported for all models, may require additional cable.

4.3 Rear Camera Installation (for Dual Cam models)
For dual camera models, the rear camera can be mounted on the rear windshield or facing the cabin. The rear cam cable connects to the main dash cam unit.

5. Operation
5.1 Initial Setup
- Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly into the dash cam.
- Start your vehicle to power on the dash cam. It should begin recording automatically.
5.2 Using the FITCAMX App
Download the official FITCAMX app from your smartphone's app store (Apple iOS & Android compatible). The app allows you to:
- View live footage.
- Playback recorded videos.
- Download videos to your phone.
- Adjust settings (e.g., resolution, G-sensor sensitivity).

5.3 Loop Recording
The dash cam continuously records. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked files are automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures you always have the most recent footage.
5.4 G-Sensor (Driving Collision Sensing)
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid deceleration/acceleration. In such events, the current video segment is automatically locked and saved to a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This feature is crucial for preserving accident evidence.
5.5 Night Vision
The dash cam utilizes Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology to optimize video quality in varying light conditions, providing clearer and more detailed recordings at night.
6. Maintenance
- Memory Card: Regularly format your memory card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use high-quality Class 10 Micro SD/TF cards from reputable brands like SanDisk, KIOXIA, or Samsung.
- Cleaning: Keep the camera lens clean from dust and smudges for clear recordings. Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Firmware Updates: Check the FITCAMX official website or app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Common Issues & Solutions
- Dash Cam not powering on:
- Check all cable connections. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on. Verify the power source (rearview mirror, fuse box, or OBD) is active.
- Recording quality is poor:
- Clean the camera lens. Ensure the protective film is removed. Check video resolution settings in the app. Ensure the windshield is clean.
- Memory card errors:
- Format the memory card in the dash cam settings or via the app. Try a different, high-quality Class 10 memory card (64GB-128GB recommended).
- Wi-Fi connection issues:
- Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Reinstall the FITCAMX app if necessary.
- Parking Mode not working:
- Parking mode often requires additional hardwiring to the fuse box or an OBD cable to provide continuous power when the vehicle is off. Consult the seller for specific parking mode cable requirements for your vehicle model.
- Rear camera not displaying/recording:
- Check the connection of the rear camera cable to the main unit. Ensure the rear camera is properly mounted and its lens is clear.

9. User Tips
- Confirm Compatibility: Always double-check your specific car model and year against the compatibility list or image provided. If in doubt, send a photo of your rearview mirror cover to the seller for confirmation before purchase.
- Parking Mode: Be aware that advanced parking mode features (e.g., 24-hour surveillance) typically require a separate hardwire kit or OBD cable for continuous power. The standard plug-and-play connection usually only provides power when the car is on.
- Memory Card Quality: Invest in a high-quality, high-speed (Class 10 or U3) memory card from a reputable brand to ensure reliable recording and prevent data loss.
- Footage Review: Periodically review recorded footage, especially 4K video, to ensure the camera is functioning correctly and capturing clear images.
