1. Introduction

The Wainlux K6 is a compact and powerful 3000mW laser engraving and cutting machine designed for home and DIY use. It offers versatile connectivity options, including Bluetooth for mobile devices and USB for computers, making it accessible for a wide range of users. With its intuitive software and app, you can easily personalize various materials with engravings and cuts.

2. Safety Information

• The product is a laser carving machine for home use and should not be compared with industrial-grade laser carving machines.
• Do not point the laser head at humans or livestock. Avoid pointing the laser at people's eyes.
• Laser has power; direct skin exposure to the laser is strictly prohibited.
• This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.
• The machine features built-in safety mechanisms: Movement Protection and Overheating Monitoring. If the internal temperature approaches its heat threshold or accidental movement is detected during operation, the laser will shut down automatically to ensure user and equipment safety.
• After 20 minutes of continuous operation, allow the machine to rest to prevent overheating and ensure longevity.

3. Setup

3.1 Physical Setup

The Wainlux K6 is designed for ease of use with no assembly required. Its integrated structure ensures stability during operation.

• Placement: Place the engraver on a stable, flat surface.
• Height Adjustment: For engraving taller or larger objects, external lifting columns (bottom pads) can be added to the four corners of the base. Select pads of suitable height to match your object. This avoids repeated disassembly and maintains machine stability.

3.2 Software Installation

The necessary drivers and software are provided on a pendrive included with your package. Follow the instructions below for installation:

• Insert the pendrive into your computer.
• Locate and run the installer for your operating system (Windows or Mac OS).
• Important: You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus software before downloading and installing the software, as some files might be mistakenly identified as viruses. Re-enable your antivirus after installation.

3.3 Connectivity

• USB Connection: Connect the engraver to your Windows 7/8/10 or Mac OS computer using the provided USB cable. It is plug-and-play.
• Bluetooth Connection: For mobile control, connect your Android or iOS device via Bluetooth. The K6 Pro model features upgraded Bluetooth for faster and more stable connections, typically under 3 seconds.

4. Operation

4.1 Using the Mobile App

The Wainlux K6 comes with a self-developed, free, and beginner-friendly mobile application (available for iOS and Android). The app supports multi-language switching, including English, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, and French.

• Connect your mobile device to the K6 via Bluetooth.
• Open the Wainlux app.
• Select your desired engraving mode: Picture, Photograph, Text, Drawing, or QR Code.
• Upload or create your design within the app. Supported image formats include JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, and PNG.
• The engraver projects a preview of your image on the surface, showing the planned size and location of the engraving.
• Adjust settings as needed (e.g., engraving depth, speed).
• Start the engraving process.

4.2 Using with PC (Windows/Mac OS)

Connect the K6 to your computer via USB. Use the provided software to prepare and send your designs for engraving. The software supports various graphic formats including JPG, JPEG, BMP, TIF, GIF, and DXF.

4.3 Engraving and Cutting

• Engraving: The 3000mW laser head allows for engraving on a variety of materials such as cardboard, wood, leather, cloth, plastic, paper, and even food.
• Cutting: The K6 can cut materials like wood and paper up to 2.5mm thickness.
• Adjustable Focus: The laser features an adjustable focus mechanism to optimize engraving and cutting precision for different materials and thicknesses.

5. Maintenance

• Exhaust Fans: The built-in powerful exhaust fans continuously remove smoke and dust generated during engraving. Ensure the fan vents are not obstructed to maintain a clean engraving environment and optimal engraving effect.
• Rest Periods: To prolong the lifespan of the laser head and machine components, it is recommended to allow the engraver to rest for a short period (e.g., 5-10 minutes) after every 20 minutes of continuous operation.
• Cleaning: Regularly clean the engraving area and the protective lens to ensure clear vision and prevent debris from affecting laser performance.

6. Troubleshooting

• Machine Shuts Down Unexpectedly: The K6 has built-in Overheating Monitoring and Movement Protection. If the machine experiences excessive heat or unexpected movement during operation, it will automatically shut down for safety. Allow the machine to cool down or ensure it is on a stable surface.
• Engraved Image Not Aligned / Laser Jumps: If the engraved image is not aligned or the laser appears to jump, ensure the object being engraved is securely placed and the machine is on a completely stable surface. Any vibration or movement can affect precision.
• Software Installation Issues: If you encounter problems installing the software, temporarily disable your antivirus program as it might interfere with the installation process. Remember to re-enable it afterward.
• Cannot Engrave Certain Materials: The K6 cannot engrave pure metal surfaces (e.g., stainless steel, jewelry), crystal, or gems. For glass, a layer of paint must be applied to the surface before engraving.
• Cutting Thickness Limitations: The machine can cut wood and paper up to 2.5mm thick. It may not be suitable for cutting thicker materials like 3mm methacrylate or large thicknesses of MDF.

• For optimal cutting results on wood or paper, ensure the material thickness does not exceed 2.5mm.
